A Few of my Favorite Things...

These are some of the pictures we took at Hope's graduation. The stand was full so we sat on the grass. Things got a little crazy....

Say, "Uncle! Uncle!"

Sam to the rescue...

Well, hello. hello.

Mom is so beautiful...

Graduations are so much fun!

"...a REALLY big giant with a REALLY big mouth
could eat a REALLY big marshmallow!
AH hahaha hahah!"

Watch out!

Sam waiting in line to give a hug...

Just happy

Father-daughter moment

"Awww..."

Congratulations!

Hope Graduated! We are all so proud of her and excited for her upcoming adventures outside of High School. It is hard to believe that she is old enough to start college this fall. I remember when she was just a toddler waddling about the farm. Do you know why I love Hope so much? She is 100% herself and proud of it. When I think of Hope, the first characteristic that comes to mind is: Happy. She is so fun and full of humor. I love that girl.

Featured.

Today, mom's zentangle art was featured on a blog designed to showcase inspirational creations. This is monumental. In celebration of mom's special recognition, I feel she is entitled to a little more. She takes up anything with skill. Reflect with me a while: Remember the porcelain dolls, calligraphy, water colors, and colored pencil drawings? How about her sewing projects: the dresses and costumes she made within hours? Think of her cross stitching skills, and her tatting skills. She inspired our young minds through her interest in these things. Most recently, she has taken up photography and zentangling. Every time she picks something up it is like magic. She excels. I think she was born to create. How I admire her. Click here to see mom's blog.

Love

Back: LeeAnn Weber Denzer, Gary Denzer.
Front: Lucy Denzer, Eliza Denzer--granddaughters.

10 February 2011, mom sent her children the following:

"I am sitting here today thinking about you all and missing you. I think that I am the most blessed of women to have you all in my life. The Lord has been good to me. I am well pleased with each and every one of you. I marvel at the character in each of your beings. You have taught me much and I am grateful. Have a great week.....love, Mom"

I've been thinking about how tender this message is all week.

I love my mom. She is so gentle, patient, kind, loving and full of wisdom. I am grateful for her and what she has taught and continues to teach me both by word and example. I love her character. She knows how to love and dedicates her life to share it every way she can.

I have to add how much I love dad. I thought it might be good to dedicate a post to each of them, but really, it is more fitting to combine the two. Especially because I love this picture of them (I snitched it from you, Andrea---I hope you don't mind). It describes their virtues where words cannot.

I love my dad. He impressed upon me the beauty of obedience, the nature of faith. When I think of him and his testimony, my soul brightens. He loves mom, and he loves his children. In him, I see a man that radiates so much goodness.

Mom and Dad,
You are beautiful.
Love,
Sas

Faith Denzer

Called to serve in the Montevideo, Uruguay Mission.

Our beautiful missionary came home 18 November 2010. We all love having her back. She had such a wonderful time and served with all her heart. I love Faith, and look up to her a lot. In more ways than one. (I forget how tall she is. and how short I am). She has such courage and a big heart. I'm glad I was able to go home and see her during Christmas break. I'm the luckiest sister in the whole wide world.

Benjamin and Emily

Emily Jean Conner and Benjamin Mosiah Denzer were happily married in the Salt Lake Temple, 17 December 2010. Parents of the Bride: Delose and Janice Conner. Parents of the Groom: Gary and LeeAnn Denzer. We are so pleased to have a new addition to the family and love Emily very much!

Happiness.

Hans Denzer

This morning as I was looking through photos, I came across those from Dannenfels. I couldn't help but smile when I saw this one. Dear Hans! He was so excited to share family documents and images to two young girls claiming a connection to the Denzers of Dannenfels. Our limited understanding of German made communication difficult, but couldn't take away the excitement.

Hans and his wife took us in with welcoming hearts. With choppy language, motion and expression we understood each other enough to provide ample good memory and much more. Asking why we were there they learned of our interest and study in family history. Hans and his wife, Helga brought out pictures and documents which they pointed to and tried to share. Hans took us on a tour of Dannenfels (so small a village we could walk it): to the village museum, the church, Denzer corner, etc. Of particular interest were the documents they brought out. From what knowledge I have gained, I have been able to look at the documents more clearly and find that they relate directly to our family lines. These are just a few of the many blessings from those couple of days in Dannenfels. Not only did we get to walk in the village of our ancestors, but we were able to make a friend with a distant relative and receive extra clues for furthering our family history. It is a constant reminder that God is in charge and will lead us to places we never imagined.
