The base is contoured to fit against the head. The edges of the brim are finished in sinamay. The multi-layer stiffened sinamay straw has a great sturdy weave and provides excellent support for your millinery creations. This is NOT a ready to wear finished hat and it will not stay on your head unless you add a head band to wear. Add embellishments of your choice. Sinamay is a natural material and you may see some color striations in the weave.
