Large Vintage Native American Indian Sterling Silver And Bright Blue Turquoise Unisex Cuff Bracelet With Two Stones A collectable statement piece for the larger wrist. This vintage Native American sterling silver and bright blue turquoise cuff measures approximately 2 3/4" across on the inside and 2 1/8" from front to back inside. The total weight is 62.5 grams. The base of the cuff is quite traditional with three strips of half round wire soldered together side by side at the ends and splayed apart at equal distances to support the attached cabochons and decorative work in silver. The two turquoise cabochons are set with plain bezels which have been embellished with a fine twisted wire and a plain, flat wire added outside of the twisted wire. The outer wire wraps around the bezel ending in both cases where the two meet. A round, solid bead of silver connects them on either side with two in total. On either side of the bezel set turquoise, in opposite directions, is a series of three, elongated teardrop shapes. These extend from either side of the cuff beginning roughly 1 1/4" from the end and reaching out to attach to the bezels. These pieces are cut from one piece of silver each. Separating lines were hammered into the silver defining each "tear". At every point of contact these shapes are securely soldered to the base with five areas of solder to each side. They are also domed outward. The stones are a soft, yet bright blue with minor natural black matrix around the edges. The larger stone is about 12mm by 25mm at the largest points. The smaller is an irregular round at about 14mm in diameter. They are both securely set with no wiggle and I see no damage to the stones. The inside of the cuff is plain. I see no stampings of any kind. The acid test indicates the sterling quality of 925/1000 grains of silver. I see no damage and no signs of repair. The patina is soft, with areas of darkened silver and fine scratches enhancing its beauty. This piece was purchased from a collection of pieces made during the 1950's in Arizona.
