Show 'progress' indicator during verify/upload

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

There is no sign of activity from the IDE for long periods of time while compiling or uploading large sketches with the default setting of verbose output disabled.

Describe the solution you'd like

Add a visual progress indicator.

The classic Arduino IDE has this:
