Trying to Update my Blog Title

Good morning my friends! Can you believe it’s past the middle of June already?  Where do the days go? Well, I’m trying to change my blog title. We'll see if it works. Since I’ve lost my Tom and my Rusty…I thought this would be much more appropriate 😊 I do love my big window and of course, get to see many..many beautiful and exciting things out of it!

This is only a test..so I promise to be back soon.

Bye for now…

The End of 2020 DECEMBER BLOG

Here we go into the month of December! Lots of things to talk about and end the year of 2020! The first day these two beauties were at the feeder.  I think they’re about to fight over that big block of seed..ha..ha!  Don’t they know they should be polite and share?? 😁

The first Sunday of the month, I joined 1,000 other ladies and did a Virtual Event with Susan Branch!   This is my second one I've joined.   She is just an amazing lady. She was talking about her new Christmas book, 'Home for Christmas'! It reminded me of the Christmases I remember. It’s a wonderful book! For those of you who are not familiar with her work, here is a link to her webpage.
Susan Branch

My daughter, Brenda, sent this to me for Christmas! How many of you are familiar with "junk journals"? I just love them! She took all kinds of scraps, such as junk mail, and made an amazing journal out of it. There are blank pages in there for me to write about my Christmas or put a picture or two in. Whatever I want to do.  I’m anxious to try and make one myself. Maybe for another holiday.

We've had some really beautiful sunrises this month! And the sunsets have also been spectacular! I love how the sun moves or should I say how the earth moves..if I continue to photograph them we'll notice the difference.

Christmas came and I stayed home, but had company🤗 Randy and  Vicky came over.  She had made a tin full of candy and cookies! Her fudge was amazing! I got to enjoy that for quite awhile🥰 My granddaughter and her family stopped over too! I got some adorable Christmas ornaments and magnetics for my fridge,  the girls had made! My favorite gifts come from the little ones. ~smile~

Towards the end of the month we did have a couple of snow storms again. But for the most part we had a fair month. I just love all those tracks in the snow. Wish I had been at my window when those little critters came to my feeders!

And I’ll end the year with my little "Ms. Winter" contemplating whether or not to play with the ornaments on the tree😇 She did wonderful and only knocked one off❤️

Bye for now and be safe😷

On to November

The first part of the month, I got a new perm and new glasses. Boy are the glasses different. They’re so light I’m amazed. So...I or should I say we picked these out. Randy had taken me and he liked them on me🤓 I hadn’t changed rims for years. I still have my old ones, as he just had to tweak the prescription..well when she adjusted them for me, I had her make them tight. She said well you don’t want them too tight, they’ll hurt your ears. Of course I insisted. Within two days they were killing my ears☹️ So, back we went...and they are so much better! (I bet she knew I’d be back...lol)

Then there was the Presidential Election on November 3rd, between President Trump and Vice President Biden. It took a week for all the votes to be counted and a winner to be announced. VP Joe Biden was the winner.

We got 3” of snow on the 10th, that slowed down a lot of people.  Schools were out etc. when I look at this picture I wonder what animal tracks those are😊 Looking for food, I’m sure.

This little one was eating the droppings from the bird feeder. I think he's cute, but can be so mischievous! Anyone who has them in their yard knows this. 😊

I spotted this hawk on an electrical pole in my yard.  They are beautiful, but within a few minutes he had something he had caught and was eating it.

Even the cardinals were at the feeder. They really like this block seed. Do any of you use this bird feeder?  We got our first one many years ago. They were advertising it on TV.  So Tom ordered it and made the stand for it.  We waited and waited, as no birds showed up.  He was so frustrated, he was going to return it!! But then....one day they started coming...and the rest is history, as they say!!

Thanksgiving came, and there was no getting together like years before.  I stayed home, (my choice).  My granddaughter Lacey and her family stopped by for a visit and that was so nice. These little ones are growing way too fast.  My neighbor girl sent up a plate of wonderful food for dinner. So I did have turkey for Thanksgiving..smile... My granddaughter Ashley called that night and we talked for 3 hours😁

Here us 'Little Ms. Winter', basking in the fall sun!!

Bye for now...more to come!!

What Happened in October?

Hello—Hello! I’m going to do a few posts to end 2020. I always do a book with my posts in it.  I am trying to do this so my family now and in the future, can read them and see what was going on in my life😊

Starting back at the end of September I found out I had COVID🙁 My fear of this horrible disease had caught up with me.   My neighbors sister brought this "care box'" over and left it on my porch, since I was quarantined. So sweet and thoughtful! I couldn’t believe it...there were cans of soup, crackers, cookies, candy, (Cracker Jacks-yumm). Drinks that have vitamins etc. in them, a beautiful purple mug, cough drops, hand sanitizer, wipes, and spray. All of that helped me so much. Thank God I didn’t have it as bad as some.  Then 10 days went by and the doctor Zoomed an office call and released me.  But, he forgot to tell me how tired I would be, even after I wasn’t contagious. Ugggg...

A few days later my daughter Brenda, and granddaughters Ashley and Amanda drove up from Georgia, to visit and help out for a week. They had car trouble in Nashville, so that took a day to get back on the road.  Their aunt was dying and they really wanted to see her, but she passed before they got here.  Sad😢

Looking down one alley.

Cool, huh?

There were so many!

We stayed in most of the time. They did get me out one day, I always love to share unique things that are happening here.  Our city had a painting for any artist in a couple alleys. And we were able to drive through them and here are a few of them. There were so many and they were all just amazing.

While they were here, I got a new Great granddaughter...Aria! She healthy and beautiful...just like her Mom. We weren’t able to see her due to this pandemic, but have a couple photos.

Adorable!!

Scarlett

Before the girls left we got a few pictures.  Brenda had her new puppy, "Scarlett" with her too. That little Shih Tzu was so fun to  play with! Winter wasn’t sure what to do around her, so I think she just tried to ignore her. Ha Ha

My son Randy and his wife  Vicky drove out to Colorado to see their son.  Always wanted to see this bridge in Nebraska....so they took a picture of it for me.

And here he is, my grandson Jesse. He got a different car when they were out there!

I think for the month of October this is about all the highlights there were!!
Hopefully you’ve enjoyed going back in time with me.

Bye for now!

First Day of Fall 2020

Fall is most defiantly is the air! Our leaves are turning, the deer are eating whatever they can find and the blue jays are at the feeders everyday! BUT, today, our temperatures were very nice..with a high of 83 degrees! I love it! The rest of the week will have weather like this. But next week our highs will be about 10 degrees cooler😟  How is it where you are? We have had smoke in the air, which we are so sad for those out west who have to be a part of these horrible fires. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who has been effected by them.

This is short...but will be playing catch up very soon.

Bye for now! Hope all is well in your little corner of the world.
