The mini skirt found its way into the future. Lieutenant Uhura's mini skirt was not unlike the ones worn by my classmates. Star Trek's Nichelle Nichols always wore it with class and elegance.

A little background she was in just about every episode of Star Trek; but when you enter Uhura atleast a third of the images are of this costume from the iconic episode "Mirror,Mirror". This actress actually helped NASA recruit women and minorities to become Astronauts in the Seventies and helped gather the cast (minus William Shatner) for the iconic image of them next to the shuttle Enterprise.

It was the perfect opportunity to create the perfect family masterpiece photograph.
