Sophie || Embroidery Artist on Instagram: "Made a slower tutorial for the knotless start in embroidery! If you’re wondering what the benefits of starting knotless are, it’s basically just to keep the back a lot neater which means less tangling with loose thread in the long run 🪡 I honestly thought starting embroidery with a knotless method looked so complicated but it’s so simple I wish I’d done it earlier 😭 Also if you’re doing this on a line stitch you can just start it a bit further in in the line 😊 Let me know if you’re going to try this! ❤️ #embroidery #embroiderydesign #embroiderytutorial #embroiderytips #embroideryart" How To Start Embroidery Thread, Starting Embroidery, Line Stitch, Artist Tutorials, Long Run, Just Start, Work Looks, Embroidery Tutorials, Artist On Instagram

Stitched Stories🧵DebbieHodge on Instagram: "If you're always dreading the satin-stitched part of embroidery projects 😱, save this tip now.

Here's how to get more consistently aligned satin stitches:

1️⃣: Carefully add several first stitches that are spaced out and nicely aligned.

2️⃣: Go back and add the filling stitches in between those. It'll be so much easier to get those stitches straight.

✨ Work the flower petals with Satin Stitch using 6 strands, following the color chart.
Each petal has its own color.

✨ Control the direction of Satin Stitches:
Run a few spaced stitches to determine the angle and fill in the spaces between.

✨ Use the fanning technique to fill most petals:
Take your time to ensure a smooth texture flow.

✨ After completing the petals:
Work the flower center with Colonial Knots using 3 strands.
Add a few sprinkled knots on the leaves with the same thread.

Aren’t you excited? 😍

Happy stitching! 🩷
