This vintage Mario Bellini "Camaleonda" mid-century modular sofa is a 1970's original produced by C&B Italia. The brown velvet fabric is original and in very good condition with minor areas of wear. Translating to chameleon, Bellini's idea was to create a sofa that can be be endlessly recombined to form new shapes depending on the mood or changing needs of the user. The modular structure is made from plywood and polyurethane foam and includes the signature tie rods and rings which allow the modules to be hooked and unhooked to combine into new shapes and designs. This particular model features spherical black plastic feet and a maker's mark on the underside of the sofa.
