The shelf is 1.75" thick. Each shelf can hold up to 35 pounds per stud. Depending on the depth of the shelf, we might glue two boards together to get to your desired depth. Installation Included in Your Order: 1 Shelf Installation bracket Screws Anchors Tools You'll Need: Tape measure Stud finder Pencil Level Drill Installation Steps: Step 1: Find the studs in your wall using a stud finder, and lightly mark their location with a pencil. Stud installation is highly recommended for a secure fit. Step 2: Decide where you want to hang your shelf. Hold the mounting bracket against the wall, making sure it’s level. Mark the screw holes on the wall studs with a pencil. Step 3: Partially screw the mounting bracket into the wall using the provided screws. Check again that the bracket is level, then fully tighten the screws. Step 4: Align the holes on the back of the shelf with the bracket extensions, and slide the shelf into place. Care Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. To protect finish, avoid the use of harsh chemicals and household cleaners. Hardware may loosen over time. Periodically check that all connections are tight.
