I am selling an assortment of vintage to antique jewelry and rings which I have hunted for and gathered from around the world. Some examples seen in the last photo - thanks for stopping by! ABOUT: Beautiful antique bracelet with rose cut Bohemian garnets and pearls in collet settings. The stones are set into five curved panels connected by loops. The pearls are set in silver. The garnets are set in tombac or a low carat gold, which was typical for the world renowned Bohemian garnet jewelry - it did hold up slightly to my 10k gold test, but I do not know for sure the exact fabrication of the back. This type of jewelry was very popular in the 1800s and remains highly collectible - and very beautiful still today! I actually acquired this in France, the chains on the end appear to be newer additions. The dog clip is hallmarked with the French mark for 18k gold (and I can't seem to get it to open) but other portions of the chain are in gold fill so the fabrication is a bit mixed. But it presents beautifully with the deep crimson color and the sparkle of all the stones, reflecting light from within. MEASUREMENTS: Stretched end to end the piece measures 8.5 inches. I have a 5.5 inch wrist and it is too big for me, and slides off without opening. I am able to wear it with the spring ring clipped towards the top of the other chain near the bracket, which decreases the length to about 7 inches, but then the remainder of the chain with the dog clip dangles. Perhaps it was meant to hold a charm dangling from the end? But it could also be permanently removed. The garnets are all about 3.5mm diameter and the panels are 11.5mm wide. It weighs 14.1 grams. IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES: Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned with some age to them so they are in estate condition. Please see notes above about the chains and it being a married piece. The dog clip doesn't open. The stones are amazing. One has a nick seen under magnification and there is some build up here or there from age, but they have a beautiful cut, shine and glow. Patina to the silver and gold collets. Very sparkly with beautiful color. It is absolutely lovely to wear with the unique panels. But Please note that due to age, this piece is not in mint condition.
