Siguiendo con el anterior post en el que hablo del segundo disco de The Band y en el que hago especial mención a una canción, The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down, os dejo con unos covers que he encontrado además de la versión original de The Band para que podáis disfrutar de esta maravilla de canción. Una de las mejores del rock, sin duda.

As chief lyricist for The Band, Robbie Robertson wrote with aching familiarity about mourning a war-torn Tennessee home (“The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down”), gambling on the Louisiana bayou (“Up on Cripple Creek”) and feeling “half-past dead” in Nazareth, Pa. (“The Weight”). The irony of these contributions to the genre now known as Americana: Robertson was Canadian.
