Dromaeosaurus albertensis is a Deluxe Raptor figure from the Raptor Series. The figure measures approximately 12″ long by 5″ tall, with 26 points of articulation, includes a display base, interchangeable closed running toes, plus a unique background display insert. The material for the wings and tail are softer plastic and the tail is posable. In the second run of the Raptor Series, color adjustments were made to the figure. See gallery.

Since the early 19th century, artists have depicted colorful – if sometimes fictional – animals (especially dinosaurs) and prehistoric environments, mingling science with unbridled fantasy as more and more fossils got uncovered and studied by the archeologists of that time.

While the idea of a museum sounds boring to some, the idea of a bunch of bones and fossils from the dinosaur era is a whole different story. And it’s not just dinosaur bones, mind you—it’s actually fossils of all sorts of species that said “no, thanks” to the natural order of things and decided to preserve themselves for many years in such ways that nowadays, people who look at them are like “that’s awesome!”
