But I’d like to tell you don’t worry about all the triggerpoints. Many of them are probably latent, which means they don’t really matter. What you should do is poke on the trigger point and see if it elicits your normally experienced pain. If it does, then that would be an active trigger point which is worth releasing. Active triggerpoints are found to have more chemical mediators, such as substance P bradykinin and serotonin in the area which induces pain.
