When looking at the majority of historical photos, it might seem that the world was black-and-white and all we had were wars and disease.

Russian street photographer Grisha Besko is most well known for documenting all of the best everyday looks of people living in Moscow. His photos discern the "urban" style of muscovite outfits as he does his best to reveal the main differences that distinguish it from the regular Western look we might be so used to seeing.

After my grandmother passed away, I was devastated because I always wanted to record her memories and recipes, and I missed her so much. So I decided to interview and photograph 100 grandmothers and turn it into a book which will represent the memory and wisdom of my granny's generation. Within a year, I accomplished just that! A week after the 480-page book (The secrets and stories of Estonian grandmothers) was published, I saw my grandmother in my dreams.

Identifying and communicating your feelings is only the first step. It’s like learning about color before learning to create art. Becoming intimately familiar with color will allow the art that is in you to come out, unencumbered and unbridled. As you paint, only when hues, values, saturation, brightness, etc, become second nature, will their nuance flow through you without thought. And so it often is with your feelings.
