DIY clay pumpkins | By Burlap Kitchen | Let's make something fun with some clay. So this is the air dry clay. I got it at Walmart. It's in with like all the kids back to school stuff. And I thought it'd be cool to turn it into some pumpkins. So we're going to take it. We're going to make three different size balls. Each one a little bigger than the other. And just shape them with your hands. It takes a little bit. Now I did read on the back that it said if you spritz it with some water it'll help to soften it up and it really does. So I did spray it with a little bit of water. And you can see I'm trying to form my pumpkins here the best that I can. Supplies:
Carvable Pumpkins/Foam Pumpkins
Air dry clay
Rolling pin
Paint
Sanding paper

Instructions:
- Lightly sand (with proper ppe and in a well ventilated area your pumpkin, this will allow for the clay to stick better
- cut out pumpkin face
- roll out air dry clay, add water as needed but not too much; consistency should be almost playdough like!
- trace and cut out your sheet (make sure it’s a thick enough piece to be able to press inward for eyes and mouth)
- add clay and cut hole for pumpkin stem
