How do we choose to store and reminisce in those sweet memories?  Our Renaissance Memories Collection is fresh, feminine, and full of gorgeous dresses and accessories. Inspired by the late medieval period and early renaissance, we have combined fantasy, history and modern construction methods to create beautiful pieces that you will fall in love with. Shoes may be a small part of a costume, but they are incredibly important when it comes to looking truly medieval. Historical shoes had a completely different profile to modern shoes and were usually devoid of any heel and completely flat. Though this difference may seem small, it actually makes a huge difference! Getting a pair of medieval shoes is a great way to instantly upgrade your costume. These beautiful shoes are made from ornately embossed leather, which is matte in finish and is covered in twisting foliage designs. These designs are made to work with the rest of the trim on our “Renaissance Memories” collection, so if you wear them together you’ll find yourself wearing a well-matched outfit. The shape of this shoe is dainty and feminine, hugging your foot tightly from tapered toe to ankle. Open at the front and secured to your foot with lacing, it manages to almost achieve the look of a pair of strappy sandal, whilst still being as structured and comfortable as a pair of shoes. The shoe goes up to just about your ankle, giving them the back profile of short boots. The leather this shoe is made from is high quality and weathers well with time. The sole of the shoe is made from thunit, with a thin rubber sole stuck to the bottom for a bit of extra grip and ease of movement. Please note that after the photo shoot, we chose to alter the structure of the lacing points on these shoes slightly to make them more durable. This does not really effect the look of the shoes.
