On a recent trip to Yellowstone, I was able to do a rare thing: watch a pack of wild wolves. At first it was difficult to find them but once I did I was entranced with their everyday lives. When the pack's alpha male put back his head and howled, and his mate did the same, every primal hair raised on my neck. I felt so fortunate to be able to witness the wildness that still lives around us. That encounter inspired this depiction of one of the great mystical partnerships: the wolf and the moon. Each 5 x 7 inch card is hand-printed by the artist from a hand-carved linoleum block. Each has its own character and charm due to the natural variation of the printing process. The inside is blank for you to add your personal message and each card is signed by the artist (me!).
