This is a painting I started months ago. The idea was to take a location from one of my favorite games (Final Fantasy IX) and re-imagine it in an animation background/ghibli style. In the end I moved away fro the style a bit in favor of making the piece work better as a standalone image, but I hope I still managed to capture the feel!
