*what kind of paint do you use? I typically use masters touch (from hobby lobby) or golden as seen here. Golden is 🤌 there is just no comparison. I typically use the masters touch for larger paintings because it is cheaper.

*why do you paint the whole background gold? Having an under painting helps to unify a painting. Even though it will be painted on top of, parts will peek through and it will help the eye travel around the painting. In art school we used a wash of light brown, but I think that’s boring 😅
