Each season, it begins like any other honeysuckle, with typical dusty green leaves. As the season progresses, flower buds pop out like saucers. These rounded bracts look a lot like eucalyptus, but the flowers at the center feed native pollinators like hummingbirds! They turn into red berries in the fall, but won’t become a nuisance like other honeysuckles. Due to its size and interesting seasonal changes, it makes an incredible specimen. This plant is hardy in USDA zones 4-8 and grows 6’-12’ tall and 5’ wide. We have ours growing on three smaller trellises that have been zip tied together. They are connected to the fence using fence hook Small Trellis, Seasonal Changes, Dusty Green, Perennial Garden, The Fence, Pop Out, Flower Bud, Red Berries, Hummingbirds
