Used other than figuratively or idiomatically: see &lit.


This creates a sense "Used other than with a figurative sense or idiom" for idiomatic or figurative expressions that are also used literally. It should be used as the last sense below the idiomatic and figurative ones.

If not provided, the title will be split at its white spaces: {{&lit|en}} in the article dirty linen displays as Used other than figuratively or idiomatically: see dirty,‎ linen.
alt1, alt2, etc.
display forms for the numbered parameter: {{&lit|en|foo|alt1=bar}} displays as Used other than figuratively or idiomatically: see bar.
2=, 3=, ..., if the first is wikified

qualifier=[qualifier]
Displays as "[Qualifier] used other than as an idiom" if exists

Displays "[anything]" instead of a trailing period (full stop).

Suppress the display of the trailing period (full stop).
