Etymology
From a Berber language; compare Northern Saharan Berber tazeqqa. A Tuareg origin is geographically more plausible, but no phonologically matching term is attested, and it would be unusual for a settled people to borrow a term related to settled life from nomads.
Pronunciation
Noun
taskā̀ f (plural taskōkī, possessed form taskàr̃)
