Etymology
Borrowed from French fuselage, from fuselé (“spindle-shaped”), from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Old French *fus (“spindle”), from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Latin fusus (“spindle”). So named for its shape; in English since 1909.
