- Template:Africa infobox (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
Deprecated by Infobox Continent; no longer used. blurredpeace ☮ 19:43, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
- Speedy delete (criterion T3) as a "hardcoded instance[...] of another template where the same functionality could be provided by that other template". Of course, since both TfD and criterion T3 require a wait-time of 7 days, there is little practical difference between "speedy delete" and "delete" in this case. –Black Falcon (Talk) 01:47, 24 May 2009 (UTC)
- Delete per above. Robofish (talk) 01:23, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

- Template:ArB (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
- Template:ArTranslit (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
- Template:ArabDIN (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
Deprecated templates, currently used only in various talk: and user: namespaces. Can be replaced in all instances with {{lang|ar}}, {{transl|ar}}, {{transl|ar|DIN}}. —Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 05:05, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
- I think this is the concept of "template deprecation". First orphan it and then we can delete it immediately. We don't need any new consensus for that. -- Magioladitis (talk) 14:00, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
- Comment I haven't gotten rid of all instances of the templates yet because I didn't want to edit others' comments and such. If this is the standard practice, I'll be happy to do that as well. —Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 19:43, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
- Yes.If it is already decided to deprecate, just orphan them and I'll delete them after a short period. -- Magioladitis (talk) 21:57, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
- Done - mostly I've deleted almost all instances; you may want to take a look at some of them. —Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 04:29, 24 May 2009 (UTC)

- Template:Skip (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
1 liner template; [{{SERVER}}{{localurl:{{NAMESPACE}}:{{PAGENAME}}}}#{{{1}}} (skip)]
- which replaces {{skip|sausages}}
with [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Chzz#sausages (skip)]
(if used on user:chzz). Was only used on 1 page, Wikipedia:What's in, what's out (inactive, historic) (I replaced it with the transclusion with this edit), and 1 user page User:Amicon/stale - which is a 2008 database dump - that user has been inactive since Dec 2008. Not needed; is a 1-liner and can be done better. If the name is released, it can usefully become a shortcut for {{Skip to Talk}}
. Chzz ► 03:42, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
