Delete, there are available references, confirming that de Mel has been a executive member on a number of boards of Sri Lankan companies, including the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director at National Development Bank. However none of these establish that he is a notable individual. All of the sources that I have been locate are just 'mentions in passing' - nothing that establishes he has done any notable achievements - he is just another successful Sri Lankan businessman.
