Mae Whitman
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your additions to Mae Whitman, but please note that when adding new material you should provide a reliable source for your contribution. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources. Thanks! -- Doniago (talk) 14:34, 5 August 2011 (UTC)
- Ok I understand but why haven't you just put [citation needed] ? I saw these information on IMDb http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0926165/awards and since the section hadn't been created, I did it myself. I didn't mention the sources because in some "accolade section" from other people there are no sources either so I thought it was not necessary ;-) Sofffie7 (talk) 15:10, 5 August 2011 (UTC)
- In cases where I can identify the editor who inserted information without sourcing it I will generally remove it and contact the user directly so that they can provide their source. Tagging it is a good fall-back or useful in situations where the original contributor cannot be readily identified, but if someone isn't monitoring the article for changes (most especially IP editors) then they won't notice their changes have been reverted. Additionally, as WP:BURDEN notes, it is the contributing editor's job to source material at the time of adding...IMO we shouldn't let unsourced material linger if there's likely a quick resolution...for instance, immediately contacting said editor. (smile)
- As far as specific sourcing, IMDb for awards is "okay" but not recommended because IMDb's reliability in general is questionable (see WP:RS/IMDb). These days most awards have their own sites, which would be a better reference. If you look at Milk there's a well-sourced Accolades section there as well.
- Hope this helps, and thank you for understanding! Doniago (talk) 15:36, 5 August 2011 (UTC)
Hi
[edit]I'm trying to be nice here. I like that you were able to find the director for the video and added it to the article and I thank you for that. The rest of what you did wasn't necessary and moving the video to a music video section is a no. If you check the article for Fearless you'll note that the music video is in the live performance section of the page because it's not really an actual music video. Before you make certain changes like that (adding a new section) please discuss it on the talk page of the article before doing so. I hope this'll help you with your future edits. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 12:09, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
- Ok, no problem I understand. I wasn't sure it was a good idea to create a music video section because we hadn't much information about it but I did it anyway. So thanks for showing me how it should be done. I'll keep it in mind. Sofffie7 (talk) 12:32, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
No problem and I hope you will be a great contributor on here. I have a posted a table below which is a basic guideline for Wikipedia. I hope this'll come in useful for you. Also do not be afraid to talk to other contributors on here especially the older ones who've been on here for awhile. Everyone is here to help each other but be wary too some maybe jerks to you if so don't worry they will be talked to. I hope all this helps. JamesAlan1986 (talk-contribs) 12:41, 11 August 2011 (UTC)

The Artist (film)
[edit]Nice work on adding the table to the awards section. Thanks! Lugnuts (talk) 07:49, 8 December 2011 (UTC)
- Thank you :) - Sofffie7 (talk) 20:29, 11 December 2011 (UTC)
- Hi again! I agree, the table needs the dates of each festival/award - makes it feel more complete. And again, thanks for all the excellent work on expanding this article. Have a merry Christmas! Lugnuts (talk) 08:44, 22 December 2011 (UTC)
- Me again. I've now split out the awards for The Artist into its own article. I think the lead needs a bit more work. Lugnuts (talk) 10:34, 5 February 2012 (UTC)
- Ok good :-) I'll take a look and see if I can add anything to it. --Sofffie7 (talk) 15:30, 7 February 2012 (UTC)
The Help accolades
[edit]Hi, we worked together before on The Help (film) article, and I was wondering if you could give me a quick hand. I'm trying to update a few items, but the formatting keeps messing up. Is there any way you can add/change the following:
- Add all Las Vegas Film Critics awards
- For the New York Film Critics (Online), Viola Davis was not nominated.
- For the Phoenix Film Critics, Tate Taylor was only nominated for breakthrough performance. Remove the best director nod.
- For People's choice, Emma Stone was not nominated.
A full list of the awards can be found on the Facebook page. If you could make the above changesn, I'll add sources. Thanks. --TravisBernard (talk) 19:26, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
- Don't worry about the People's Choice award item. It turns out she was nominated.--TravisBernard (talk) 19:42, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
- Hi! I've done what you asked :) For the Las Vegas Critics Awards, I looked on the Facebook page since the nominees are not mentioned on the official website, only the winners... For the People's Choice Award, Emma Stone is indeed nominated for Best Actress as I've checked on the official website but it isn't mentioned for which film. I think it's more like a general award for the year she made (starred in The Help and Crazy Stupid Love). That's why it's not cited on the Facebook page so I'll remove it here too :) --Sofffie7 (talk) 22:53, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
- Great, thanks for the Help (no pun intended). I'll try to add sources for as many as I can today. Thanks. --TravisBernard (talk) 13:45, 6 January 2012 (UTC)

WikiProject Grey's Anatomy Weekly Newsletter
[edit]Hello members of WikiProject Grey's Anatomy! We are sending out our weekly newsletter with updates about the project and tasks. First, we would like to take this time to introduce several new members to the project: Creativity97, who joined in May, Sofffie7, Smileyglen66 and InfamousPrince, who all joined in June. It is nice to be able to have more members, so as to better help out the project. We have some new achievements and updates to be announced. First, we've received four new good articles (Grey's Anatomy seasons 1-4), which were developed by Jonathan Harold Koszeghi. Second, there are three new good article nominees, awaiting reviews (Meredith Grey, Owen Hunt, and Arizona Robbins), which TRLIJC19 decided to develop. Finally, Grey's Anatomy has been rewritten and majorly expanded to comply with the Featured Article Criteria. There are plans for the article to be nominated after a peer review is completed.
There are many things to be done for the project, in an attempt to exemplify its best work. Below is a list of tasks, and guidelines:
- Character Pages
- Ensure that each character page has this section order:
- LEAD (and appropriate infobox)
- Storylines
- Development
- Casting and creation
- Characterization
- Reception
- References
- External links
- Shorten character storylines, using {{Cite episode}} to reference episodes, and break down season sub-section headers into just one section, "Storylines".
- Model pages after Owen Hunt and Meredith Grey
- Ensure that each character page has this section order:
- Main Page (Grey's Anatomy)
- Keep an eye out for vandalism, as that tends to occur at that page.
- General
- Many users and IPs have been erasing "surgical resident" from fifth year residents characters' occupations in infoboxes and at List of Grey's Anatomy characters. This should all be held off until more info is given on their current occupation in the season premiere. Revert if you see this, and if it's persistent; warn users.
Weekly Initiative!
The weekly initiative this week, is to pick an underdeveloped character article (one that isn't GA or better), and develop it, modeling off of Owen Hunt or Meredith Grey! Search the internet for character information, and try to get the article to GA quality (using MOS and Wikipedia guidelines), then nominate it. Barnstars will be awarded to users who develop their articles to GA quality! Also, use the templates listed at the project page to recruit new members, the more the merrier! Take part in these initiatives, have fun developing an article to GA, feel proud after the article you developed reaches GA, and be rewarded with barnstars! Help make a difference and get started!
Have fun and don't forget to cite everything you write! We hope to see several new good articles, and new members, soon!

WikiProject Grey's Anatomy Weekly Newsletter
[edit]Hello members of WikiProject Grey's Anatomy! We are sending out our weekly newsletter with updates about the project and tasks. We have some new achievements and updates to be announced, a repeated recognition of last week. First, Grey's Anatomy (season 3) has been developed to apparent FA quality by Jonathan Harold Koszeghi, and TRLIJC19 is in the process of developing Callie Torres to GA quality. We are still awaiting GA reviews for Meredith, Owen, and Arizona, as well as a Peer review for Grey's Anatomy, which will be completed soon. A minor change is the re-ordering of sections on Izzie Stevens and Erica Hahn, to comply with our guidelines.

- Some IPs/Users have been changing Lexie Grey's article as well as Callie Torres, going against MOS. Revert if you see this, and try to explain to the IP/User why this is wrong.

I just noticed that it appears you are participating in the GA weekly initiative at Lexie's page! I thought I'd pitch in, by helping with the article :) TRLIJC19 (talk) 13:49, 19 June 2012 (UTC)
- Hi! Well, I wanted to develop a bit more the article but it's not very easy to find information about her... I'm actually impressed by the work done on the other Grey's Anatomy characters ;-) --Sofffie7 (talk) 14:46, 19 June 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, it's tough. I recently developed Meredith, Owen, Callie, and Arizona, and it is a hassle to find information. My best method is to type in per-say "Chyler Leigh interview Grey's Anatomy" on Google news, and select the dates as "archives". That's what I usually do for development. Casting and creation looks fine, but characterization needs developing, so look for interviews where she talks about her character's personality. As for reception, I'll help out with scoping info for that :) TRLIJC19 (talk) 15:04, 19 June 2012 (UTC)
Lexie Grey
[edit]Hi, have you found any reception info on Lexie yet? I haven't been able to locate any info on it :/ TRLIJC19 (talk) 18:46, 20 June 2012 (UTC)
- Hey, up to now I haven't found anything on it either but I have to say that I was pretty busy today so now it's only been 2 hours that I'm connected. I started reading recaps of some episodes but then I got bored and thus I did other things... --Sofffie7 (talk) 18:58, 20 June 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah it gets boring when you can't find stuff. It's just that we're so close to being done with the article! I'll keep you posted. TRLIJC19 (talk) 19:11, 20 June 2012 (UTC)
- I'll try again later to find info for the section. By the way, I see that you nominated "Song Beneath the Song" :-) I'm glad you did it because I wanted to do it last week but since I was unsure of the quality of the article, I didn't hehehe. I've just added an info on the article, which I found while I was looking for information for Lexie's reception. --Sofffie7 (talk) 19:37, 20 June 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, I developed it a bit more this morning and then nominated. Frickative did most of the work, and I had planned to finish the development a while ago, but just finally got to it. Keep me posted on reception for Lexie :) TRLIJC19 (talk) 20:06, 20 June 2012 (UTC)
- I don't know if we can use it but the way her character was introduced to Meredith was criticized on People. Her introduction is also adressed on Entertainment Weekly by Jennifer Armstrong: while she says it was awkward, she found it was good that it didn't last several episodes before Meredith knew who she was. On the second page, she mentions she really liked the sparkling Lexie and George friendship. This is maybe better for a reception of the episode? What do you think? --Sofffie7 (talk) 21:35, 20 June 2012 (UTC)
- That could be good for the episode page as well, but it also is the kind of stuff in most reception sections. Most reviews go by episodes: ie. Izzie Stevens' reception is mainly episodic reviews. I'll add them in! :) TRLIJC19 (talk) 21:56, 20 June 2012 (UTC)

A barnstar for you!
[edit]The Special Barnstar | |
I have nominated Lexie's page; I finished reception. As promised, here is your barnstar for participating in the weekly initiative and developing an article to GA quality. (Since we both worked together on the article, I figured we'd both give barnstars to eachother) :) TRLIJC19 (talk) 01:19, 23 June 2012 (UTC) |
- Thank you for the star, first time I get one! I'm looking forward to working with you again soon =)
P.S. I've given you also a barnstar hehehe; you deserve it as much as I do and maybe even more if we count all your contributions on Grey's Anatomy-related articles. --Sofffie7 (talk) 18:41, 23 June 2012 (UTC)- Thank you! The last task on my June to do list is to take Sadie Harris to GA. It's in pretty good shape, but I would love if you helped me with it :) TRLIJC19 (talk) 19:02, 23 June 2012 (UTC)
- Oooh sorry I forgot to answer ^^ Yes I'll try to help you but I think it will be harder than for Lexie since Sadie wasn't on the show for a very long time. I even had to click on the link to see who you were talking about because her name didn't ring a bell with me. --Sofffie7 (talk) 16:01, 25 June 2012 (UTC)
- Okay, thank you! Characterization is almost done, and I'll clean up the lead, infobox, and storylines. Could you look for info on reception and casting/creation. Perhaps, since the character might not have enough info, we should merge characterization and casting/creation into just 'Development'. Let me know, TRLIJC19 (talk) 16:07, 25 June 2012 (UTC)

WikiProject Grey's Anatomy Weekly Newsletter: June 25, 2012
[edit]Hello members of WikiProject Grey's Anatomy! We are sending out our weekly newsletter with updates about the project and tasks. We have some new achievements and updates to be announced! First, "Song Beneath the Song" is now a good article, and it was promoted by TRLIJC19. Second, Lexie Grey is currently being GA reviewed, and it was developed by TRLIJC19 and Sofffie7. Also, Portal:Grey's Anatomy has been created, and members are encouraged to maintain it. Still from last week, Meredith Grey, Arizona Robbins, Owen Hunt, and Callie Torres, (developed by TRLIJC19) are awaiting GA reviews. Grey's Anatomy (season 3) has been developed to near FA quality by Jonathan Harold Koszeghi, and is awaiting a peer review. Finally, Grey's Anatomy, developed by TRLIJC19, is on the brinks of moving to FAC, and is awaiting a final copy edit.
There are many things to be done for the project, in an attempt to exemplify its best work. Below is a list of tasks, and guidelines:
- Character Pages
- Ensure that each character page has this section order:
- LEAD (and appropriate infobox)
- Storylines
- Development
- Casting and creation
- Characterization
- Reception
- References
- External links
- Shorten character storylines, using {{Cite episode}} to reference episodes, and break down season sub-section headers into just one section, "Storylines".

Weekly Initiative!
The weekly initiative this week, is to create an episode article, and develop it, modeling off of Song Beneath the Song! Search the internet for creation and reception information (a lot is given at the Grey Matter writers' blog), and try to get the article to GA quality (using MOS and Wikipedia guidelines), then nominate it. Try to go in an episodic chronological order (start at S1E1, and move further). Furthermore, if you notice that any user has participated in any weekly initiative and was not rewarded, give them a barnstar ASAP!
Have fun and don't forget to cite everything you write! We hope to see several new episodic good articles, and new members, soon!

Promoted!
[edit]Lexie was promoted to GA! :) As a retrospect: look at the difference here: This is Lexie's article, right before we started developing, and this is Lexie's article now! If you scroll down them and compare, it's amazing how much we did for it! :) TRLIJC19 (talk) 19:09, 25 June 2012 (UTC)
- Yay! Big improvement indeed. I just wanna say: congrats to us hahaha. ^^ --Sofffie7 (talk) 18:29, 26 June 2012 (UTC)
- Hey! I will soon add a "GA stick" (don't know the right word) on my user page that says "this user has helped promote Lexie Grey article to GA" but I was wondering, may I also add the one for Song Beneath the Song? I think I made pretty good edits on the article like the reception, for example. By the way, don't worry if you don't see me contributing much this week on Wikipedia; I'm on vacation and I'm coming back on Friday ;-) --Sofffie7 (talk) 21:25, 3 July 2012 (UTC)
- Sure, feel free to add about Song Beneath the Song; you deserve it! And I did notice you haven't been editing...glad to know you'll be back! Have a great time! TRLIJC19 (talk) 01:17, 4 July 2012 (UTC)
Request
[edit]I was wondering if you could GA review The Little Guy. I can do something for you in exchange. Thanks, TBrandley 21:53, 11 July 2012 (UTC)
- Hey! I'm sorry but I have to refuse. Because English is not my mother tongue, I don't think I'm the right person to review. For example, I can't really determine if an article has a good prose or not; I just can see some spelling errors, organizational problems etc. It has happened to me that I read a GA-nominated article and think it should indeed be a GA without noticing the issues the reviewer found afterwards. So, it's not a lack of goodwill nor is it a problem of not wanting to spend time on making reviews but the problem is that I would give bad/no thorough reviews. I hope you'll find someone else to do it. --Sofffie7 (talk) 22:45, 11 July 2012 (UTC)
user page vandalism
[edit]Someone made a request at WP:RFPP to have your user page protected, it's been getting some vandalism. As it's your user page, it's generally your call, if you would like semiprotection or even full protection on your user page, drop me a line and I'll make it so. --j⚛e deckertalk 16:12, 15 July 2012 (UTC)
- Hey Sofffie; just so you know, I made the request to have it indefinitely protected, due to the large amount of IP vandalism on your page. TRLIJC19 (talk) 17:44, 15 July 2012 (UTC)
- Hey TRLIJC19! I noticed yesterday that you had again reverted the vandalism on my page so thank you and also thank you for making the request, it's really kind of you! So yes Joe Decker, I'd like to have my page protected. I didn't know it was possible for Wikipedians but now that I do, I won't refuse it. I think a semi-protection is enough. Thanks, Sofffie7 (talk) 19:27, 15 July 2012 (UTC)

I have copyedited the article, and will scope for reception info. When complete, perhaps a co-GA nomination? :) TRLIJC19 (talk) 19:46, 16 July 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah sure, a co-GA nomination seems a good idea. ;-) Do you think this part of Melissa George's interview ("I believe attraction shouldn't be gender specific and whether you're gay shouldn't be your first personality trait. Your sexuality is not entirely who you are, so first I was more concerned with getting to know Sadie. Being gay or not wasn't the issue. She has a lot going on and a lot of layers to uncover.") is noteworthy? If so, in which section of the article? I hope you'll find some reception! --Sofffie7 (talk) 13:22, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, it's notable; put it under characterization, because she's talking about her character's personality. TRLIJC19 (talk) 17:53, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
WikiProject Grey's Anatomy Weekly Newsletter: July 16, 2012
[edit]Hello members of WikiProject Grey's Anatomy! We are sending out our weekly newsletter with updates about the project and tasks. Big apologies for the lack of the newsletter for the past two weeks! We have lots of new achievements and updates to be announced! We have fifteen new good articles! This is a great achievement for the project. The articles that were promoted are Lexie Grey, which was developed by TRLIJC19 and Sofffie7, Owen Hunt, which was developed by TRLIJC19, "I Like You So Much Better When You're Naked", which was created and developed by TRLIJC19, Grey's Anatomy (season 6), which was developed by TRLIJC19, "Good Mourning", which was created and developed by TRLIJC19, Callie Torres, which was developed by TRLIJC19, Meredith Grey, which was developed by TRLIJC19, "Great Expectations", which was created and developed by Jonathan Harold Koszeghi, "I Always Feel Like Somebody's Watchin' Me", which was created and developed by TRLIJC19 (previously a DYK), "Goodbye", which was created and developed by TRLIJC19, "Time Has Come Today", which was created and developed by Jonathan Harold Koszeghi, "Time Has Come Today", which was created and developed by Jonathan Harold Koszeghi, "Wishin' and Hopin'", which was created and developed by Jonathan Harold Koszeghi, Arizona Robbins, which was developed by TRLIJC19, "Tainted Obligation", which was created and developed by TRLIJC19, and "Invasion", which was created and developed by TRLIJC19.
Sadie Harris is being developed by Sofffie7 and TRLIJC19, and should be nominated for GA soon. Grey's Anatomy and Grey's Anatomy (season 3) are in the preparations for FAC. There are many things to be done for the project, in an attempt to exemplify its best work. Below is a list of tasks, and guidelines:

*Character Pages
|
Weekly Initiative!
The weekly initiative this week is to develop a character article to GA quality, using the character guidelines above! Model your article off of a Grey's Anatomy character's page with GA status. Do it fast, because we are close to having all character articles at GA! Search the internet for casting/creation, characterization and reception information (a lot is given at the Grey Matter writers' blog), condense storylines, and try to get the article to GA quality (using MOS and Wikipedia guidelines), then nominate it. Furthermore, if you notice that any user has participated in any weekly initiative and was not rewarded, give them a barnstar ASAP!
Have fun and don't forget to cite everything you write! We hope to see several new character GAs, and new members, soon!

Opinion
[edit]Hey! :) I just created "Give Peace a Chance" last night, and it's currently undergoing DYK and GA reviews! I think I can call that the fastest article I've created + developed. Can you read it and tell me if it's good/interesting, lol? Thanks, TRLIJC19 (talk) 21:01, 21 July 2012 (UTC)
- Hi! I've just finished reading it and I think your article is well-written. It reminded me how much I liked the episode when I watched it a couple of months ago. I loved Lexie's idea to wear diapers and how Derek disobeyed Webber ^^. I was wondering, what did Sloan do in the episode? Didn't he appear in it? I saw your DYK about Ellen Pomepo and I think it's interesting; I had completely frogotten she barely appeared in the episode and I didn't know it was due to her pregnancy. Ooh and I knew Chandra Wilson had directed at least one episode but I didn't know which one and I didn't know she received an award for it so it was great to learn that. --Sofffie7 (talk) 21:48, 21 July 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for reading it! Callie, Mark, and Bailey made little to no appearances, but I'll try to add them in. TRLIJC19 (talk) 21:49, 21 July 2012 (UTC)
- Also, would you mind if I copyedited "Flight" when you're done developing it? :) TRLIJC19 (talk) 22:07, 21 July 2012 (UTC)
- Callie, Mark and Bailey's appearances don't need to be added if they didn't do anything; I mean, it's just that I didn't remember what they did... You don't even need to ask for "Flight" :-) I'm just adding what I've come across today and will try to find more tomorrow. Also, I recently added stuff on "Losing My Religion", so that'd be great if you could to do the same with that episode ;) Unfortunately, I couldn't find ratings for it. --Sofffie7 (talk) 22:20, 21 July 2012 (UTC)
- Great, I've found a bunch of reception on Sadie (I'm adding it now). TRLIJC19 (talk) 22:39, 21 July 2012 (UTC)
- I nominated Sadie Harris, listing you as the co-nominator :) TRLIJC19 (talk) 01:31, 22 July 2012 (UTC)
- Coooool, thank you :D --Sofffie7 (talk) 10:41, 22 July 2012 (UTC)

In recognition of our collaborating to produce 2 new good articles together! Sadie and Flight were just passed (I responded to the reviews). Not to mention Lexie's article :) TRLIJC19 (talk) 03:03, 24 July 2012 (UTC) |
Thank you for the star and for adressing the articles' issues! It is still great to collaborate with you :) --Sofffie7 (talk) 11:53, 24 July 2012 (UTC)

Losing My Religion
[edit]Hey Sofffie! I would like to get the chance to copyedit, clean up, and paraphrase Losing My Religion (Grey's Anatomy); before you nominate for GA. That said, I am about to go out for about 6/7 hours; so if you could hold up the nomination until tomorrow; that'd be great :-) TRLIJC19 (talk) 22:04, 24 July 2012 (UTC)
- Hey! Yeah sure; no problem. I wasn't planning on nominating today because I know the article still has obvious problems like the plot which needs to be reworked, not much reception (a second review at least would be better), the infobox missing a picture,... --Sofffie7 (talk) 22:59, 24 July 2012 (UTC)
Did you hear...
[edit]Hey! Did you hear that Mark's leaving the show :( (http://tvline.com/2012/07/26/grey-anatomy-eric-dane-leaving/ Why couldn't it be April? Well, at least we can develop his article to GA now, and the storylines won't need to be updated! Also, I'm currently on vacation; so I won't be able to clean up Losing My Religion until Monday. I planned on doing it while on vacation, but it's been nice to take a little Wikibreak, so I think I'll stay away from major edits until Monday. TRLIJC19 (talk) 04:13, 27 July 2012 (UTC)
- Hi! Ooooh nooo I didn't know :'( I think it's pretty sad; he was the only real funny element in Grey's. The show without him is going to be weird! What's the point of ending Mark's story just a few episodes after the season 8 finale and not during the finale? They could have killed him earlier so that he would have joined Lexie and they would have 'ended up' together in a way but I guess it would have been too tragic for the fans. Another option could have been to make Lexie and Mark leave Seattle together during that last episode. I wonder how they will finish his story. Maybe he won't get over Lexie's death and won't be able to practice medicine anymore. Poor Sophia if he really leaves Seattle but maybe they will still mention him from time to time and say Sofia's with Mark for some weekends. I'm going to miss his scenes with Callie, Jackson and Derek. Anyway, enjoy your vacation and don't worry about Losing My Religion; it's not urgent :) --Sofffie7 (talk) 14:33, 27 July 2012 (UTC)
WikiProject Grey's Anatomy Weekly Newsletter: July 30, 2012
[edit]Hello members of WikiProject Grey's Anatomy! We are sending out our weekly newsletter with updates about the project and tasks. Big apologies for the lack of the newsletter last week! Weekly Initiative!
The weekly initiative this week is to develop a Grey's Anatomy-related stub or start-class article, using the relevant guidelines above! Model your article off of a Grey's Anatomy page with GA status. Use your Wikipedia skills to fix MOS inconsistencies, copyedit, add more information by researching, and remove unreferenced claims! Barnstars will be awarded to users who destub/de-start their articles, and get the quality level promoted to at least 'C' class! You can determine if an article meets the 'C' class criteria by asking for the reviewing coordinator, TRLIC19, or one of his delegates (Jonathan Harold Koszeghi and Sofffie7) to review the article. Please do not change the article's quality rating yourself; you must have it reviewed by a member of the reviewing committee. A list of stub and start class Grey's Anatomy articles can be found at the project's main page. Also, use the templates listed at the project page to recruit new members; the more the merrier! Take part in these initiatives, have fun destubbing/starting articles, feel proud after the article you cleaned up looks better, and be rewarded with barnstars! Help make a difference and get started! Furthermore, if you notice that any user has participated in any weekly initiative and was not rewarded, give them a barnstar ASAP!

Notice
[edit]Hi, Sofffie7. An administrative board has recently been formed at WikiProject Grey's Anatomy, and anyone who has been a member of the project for a month is invited to join. That said, you are eligible, and if you want to be a part of it; please let me know the position you wish to obtain. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 21:17, 31 July 2012 (UTC)
- Hey! It's a good idea to discharge the 'duties' of the project but I'm not sure I'm competent enough to do such a thing. Nonetheless, if nobody else wants to be the secretary and if you think I'd be good at it, then I'm willing to try. --Sofffie7 (talk) 22:13, 31 July 2012 (UTC)
- I think you are a fully capable editor! You are one of the best in the project :-) I think you'd be great at secretary; and there's not too much work involved. Let me know if you want that position, TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 22:22, 31 July 2012 (UTC)
- All right, count me in =) --Sofffie7 (talk) 16:12, 2 August 2012 (UTC)

Regarding your new position as secretary of WikiProject Grey's Anatomy
[edit]
Sofffie7, thank you for agreeing to serve as secretary of WikiProject Grey's Anatomy, and better help out the community. This message is to inform you of the duties associated with the position. As secretary, you have to keep track of which members are "active", "semi-active", and "inactive". To be active, the member must make at least one edit to any Grey's Anatomy-related page each month. To be semi-active, the member must have not made an edit to any Grey's Anatomy-related page for one month. To be inactive, the member must have not made an edit to any Grey's Anatomy-related page for two months. This can be tracked by periodically checking all members' contributions. When a member is deemed "inactive" or "semi-active", you must notify them on their talk page. A template exists to notify them. To notify a member that they are semi-active, post this on their talk page, with no header: {{subst:ISA-WPGreys|semi-active|one (1)|~~~~}}. To notify a member that they are inactive, post this on their talk page, with no header: {{subst:ISA-WPGreys|inactive|two (2)|~~~~}}. If any member is deemed inactive or semi-active, you must notify the project's designer, so they can modify the member list. Check periodically to see if in-active and semi-active users return to active status, and if they do, notify the designer again. As secretary, you are also in charge of recruiting new members to the project. If you notice that a Wikipedia user frequently edits Grey's Anatomy-related pages, post this template, with no header to their talk page: {{subst:WP-Grey'sAnatomy|~~~~}}. After inviting them, check their user page periodically to see if they add [[Category:WikiProject Grey's Anatomy participants]]
to their user page; meaning they have become members. If they do join the project, post this welcome template on their talk page, with no header: {{subst:WLCMGA|~~~~}}. After welcoming them, notify the designer so they can add the new member to the participants list. As recognition for joining the board, you get to display this userbox on your user page:
This user is the secretary of the WikiProject Television Grey's Anatomy task force administrative board. |
Please let me know that you understand all your duties, and do not hesitate to ask further questions! :) Thanks again for joining, TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 18:58, 2 August 2012 (UTC)
- Yes I understand what I have to do. I assume that I have to watch every Grey's Anatomy-related page to find new members? The show's article, the awards' list, the characters' list and all the main characters, all the seasons, and the episodes' list are already on my watchlist. Some episodes are also on my watchlist, but not all of them; should I add them? --Sofffie7 (talk) 19:34, 2 August 2012 (UTC)
- I wouldn't worry too much about the episodes. Maybe add some big ones like premieres and finales, because what are the odds that a user is just going to work on episode articles? TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 20:52, 2 August 2012 (UTC)

Army Wives
[edit]Hi, I've been working on Losing My Religion in MS word on my laptop; I should be able to put it up tomorrow/the next day. Also, I didn't know you liked Army Wives :-) I would be interested in developing some of those articles with you, if you wanted. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 04:33, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
- Hey Joey! Yes I do like Army Wives :D I saw some episodes of the first season a few years ago but then it stopped airing and now I've started watching it again from the beginning. My favorite character is Roxy. At the moment, there is an episode list article, but there is none for each season; I don't know if each season deserves an article. All the main characters have their own article except Pamela, Emmalin and Frank. So yes, your help with any article would be appreaciated :) Just tell me what you'd like to do and when. That said, I don't want Army Wives to take too much of your time, which you'd maybe prefer to spend on Grey's Anatomy; I don't want you to feel stressed out. I want the main page and some characters to be developed but for the rest, I don't know. It's just that I love too many TV shows and it's hard to focus on only one so sometimes I start adding stuff on one article and then I change... Thanks for the update on Losing My Religion ;) --Sofffie7 (talk) 11:26, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
- I feel like the main page would be the easiest to promote to GA. If you check out my August to-do list, I'm pretty booked this month, but I would love to place that article on my September to-do list. Also, I don't know if you read this week's newsletter, but List of Grey's Anatomy episodes is a FLC, and I would love if you could leave some comments and possibly support/oppose here. Thanks, TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 17:12, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, I saw your to-do list a couple of days ago. I totally understand that you're very busy this month, but it's nice to know that a good editor like you is willing to improve Army Wives's page :) Yes I read the newsletter; congrats on the nomination! I voted in favor but, since everything looks good, I did not write anything else; is it OK? I hope it will soon be promoted. --Sofffie7 (talk) 18:14, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
- It is perfectly fine to simply support if you see no existent issues :-) Also, I have been thinking of having an admin board meeting to discuss a potential change in the project. I feel as though we should not cover actors' and actress' articles. We have so many "in-house" articles that are of terrible quality, that we don't need hundreds of real-world articles weighing down the project. I would love to hear your thoughts on this. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 18:17, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
- To me, it seemed logical to cover the actors' articles but not everyone so I would only keep the pages of the main cast members (19) and remove those of recurring cast like Elizabeth Reaser or Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Though we don't have the time to improve them at the moment, I'm not sure we should remove every actors' page of the project. --Sofffie7 (talk) 18:52, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
- I think that's a good idea. Main cast members should be kept, but not recurring or guest. I'll bring it up on the project talk tomorrow. :-) TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 18:56, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
- I've reread my talkpage and it reminded me that I haven't seen any messsage on this subject at the project's talkpage. Does it still bother you? --Sofffie7 (talk) 21:42, 11 August 2012 (UTC)

Losing My Religion
[edit]Hi Sophie! I'm almost done with the above article, and although I thought I would be able to post it tonight, it will probably be tomorrow. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 18:06, 9 August 2012 (UTC)
- Okay, no problem. I look forward to seeing the changes :-) Sofffie7 (talk) 18:11, 9 August 2012 (UTC)
- Hey Joey! How's your work advancing on the episode? I'm going to bed in about 15-30 minutes but I'd like to know if I can expect to see it tomorrow ;) Also, when it will be done, do you think we can nominate it or will there still be some work to do -meaning, was the article that bad? ^^ Sofffie7 (talk) 21:24, 11 August 2012 (UTC)
- Hi, no it's a great article; it's just I keep making last minute changes. It will definitely be up tomorrow. The only thing is, I feel it needs more critical reviews. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 21:43, 11 August 2012 (UTC)
- All right :) Yeah that's what I thought. I haven't been looking for them since July 26th. I'll try again tomorrow, but I remember it was difficult. --Sofffie7 (talk) 21:51, 11 August 2012 (UTC)
- Update: A family matter came up and I am unable to get to finishing the paraphrasing tonight. I could probably work on it tomorrow night, but I understand if you don't want to wait; and wish to find a new copyeditor/paraphraser. :/ TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 07:51, 12 August 2012 (UTC)
- No it's fine, I'll wait for you =) By the way, I've found reviews by the Chicago Tribune, Alan Sepinwall, and Television Without Pity (I had already come upon the last one, but thought it was not good enough so I didn't add it). I've added them all now so you'll have check that too; sorry for the addition of work :P I hope the family matter is nothing too serious. --Sofffie7 (talk) 10:27, 12 August 2012 (UTC) Edited Sofffie7 (talk) 15:16, 12 August 2012 (UTC)
- The reviews look good; thanks for understanding. It's nothing serious—I just have to babysit my nephew. I will get it done tonight, but since we're on different time zones, you may not see it until tomorrow morning. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 15:22, 12 August 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for the copyedit, it is much appreciated :) May I nominate it for GA once you've put a picture in the infobox and list you as the co-nom? --Sofffie7 (talk) 08:30, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, I'm looking for a photo now. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 17:56, 13 August 2012 (UTC)

- All right :) Yeah that's what I thought. I haven't been looking for them since July 26th. I'll try again tomorrow, but I remember it was difficult. --Sofffie7 (talk) 21:51, 11 August 2012 (UTC)
- Hi, no it's a great article; it's just I keep making last minute changes. It will definitely be up tomorrow. The only thing is, I feel it needs more critical reviews. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 21:43, 11 August 2012 (UTC)
Hi, I added a photo to the article, so I think you can nominate! TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 19:27, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
- It is done, and you are listed as the co-nominator ;-) Good choice for the picture; when I think of the episode it's that scene that always plays out in my head. --Sofffie7 (talk) 20:43, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
WikiProject Grey's Anatomy Weekly Newsletter: August 13, 2012
[edit]Hello members of WikiProject Grey's Anatomy! We are sending out our weekly newsletter with updates about the project and tasks. We have several new achievements and updates to be announced! List of Grey's Anatomy episodes, developed by TRLIJC19 and Jonathan Harold Koszeghi, is still a featured list candidate! If promoted, it will be our first piece of "in-house" featured content! If uninvolved with the list, we urge you to leave comments, review the article, and support or oppose it here. Grey's Anatomy, Grey's Anatomy (season 3), and "Give Peace a Chance" are also still in the preparations for FAC, while List of Grey's Anatomy cast members is being developed by TRLIJC19. "Losing My Religion" is now a GAN; it was developed by Sofffie7 and copyedited by TRLIJC19. There is currently a discussion awaiting feedback here; please provide your input there. There are many things to be done for the project, in an attempt to exemplify its best work. Below is a list of tasks, and guidelines:
Tasks and Gudelines |
---|
Please try to follow these tasks to the best of your abilities. As with any guideline, there may be exceptions, so use common sense when applying them.
|
Weekly Initiative!
The weekly initiative this week is to create a non-existent/redirect Grey's Anatomy episode article, using the relevant guidelines above! Model your article off of a Grey's Anatomy episode article with GA status. Use your Wikipedia skills to research information, copyedit, remove unreferenced claims, and add pictures! Barnstars will be awarded to any user who creates a well-sourced article, that has a quality of at least 'start'! To determine the quality, ask a member of the administrative board to review your article; please do not change the article's quality yourself. Take part in this initiative, have fun creating an article, feel proud after the article you created is existent, and be rewarded with barnstars! Help make a difference and get started! Furthermore, if you notice that any user has participated in any weekly initiative and was not rewarded, give them a barnstar ASAP!
Have fun, and don't forget to cite everything you write! We hope to see several expanded articles soon!

Losing My Religion
[edit]Hello, Soffie. I would like to congratulate you for the outstanding efforts in collaboration within the Grey's Anatomy Wiki Project. In response to Losing My Religion (Grey's Anatomy), I would like to request your opinion: I would like to add a double image of Ellen Pompeo and Kate Walsh in the Plot section, just the like all the GA Episode Articles in season 3, and some in early season 6. This concept has been introduced by TRLIJC19, but he has since stopped using it, for unknown reasons. I think it is brilliant, helpful and unique (only our WikiProject uses it). I will continue to use it in the articles I am the most significant contributor for, but in this case, your opinion would be appreciated. Of course, the caption would be a lot shorter than the one you have removed. Jonathan Harold Koszeghi (talk) 13:29, 18 August 2012 (UTC)
- The only reason I removed it, is because several users have told me it detracts from the readability. The double image in such a short section jumbles the text, and does not look nice. Per MOS:IMAGES, it really should not be used except for in a bigger section, so I don't recommend using it in your other articles. (In fact I may remove it from the ones that use it). TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 16:52, 18 August 2012 (UTC)
- Hey, thank you for requesting my opinion. Well, if it's an obstacle to the readability, then I agree that we shouldn't put any double image, sorry =/ Sofffie7 (talk) 19:23, 18 August 2012 (UTC)
Trivial thoughts
[edit]Hi Sophie, I hope you are enjoying your day! I didn't do any major editing today; I was busy the whole day, unfortunately.
I have a shocking statistic: Grey's Anatomy was viewed 267,329 times just this month! In May it was viewed 955,589 times—almost a million! I think it's crazy how many people read an article written by me (and other project members)! Lexie Grey was viewed 201,205 times in May! Crazy!
Unrelated, I was wondering something. Does Grey's Anatomy air wherever you live (France, right?) the same time it airs in the US? By that I mean will you be able to watch the S9 premiere on September 27? Also, do you watch it in English or French? That's just a curious thought I had. :-)
My final thought was regarding "It's the End of the World". At Grey's Anatomy, it is written that ITEOTW is the most-viewed episode with 37.88 million viewers. I did not write "as of ...", but I remember someone saying I should. However, the show is currently averaging about 11 million viewers per episode. What is the likelihood that viewership will randomly escalate to above 37.8 million? I find it extremely unlikely; the last episode that was even close to that number was "Some Kind of Miracle" with 27.39 million viewers (still over ten million lower than ITEOTW), and that was aired in season three—almost 6 years ago! I know that assuming no episode will beat out that number could be interpreted as WP:CRYSTAL, but I believe this is a clear case of WP:COMMONSENSE.
Thoughts? TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 04:26, 23 August 2012 (UTC)
- Hi Joey! As you might have noticed, I didn't edit much yesterday either. Yeah, these are crazy numbers! I rarely look at view statics but I think I'll do that more often because it's very interesting haha!
- Well, here in French-speaking countries all American shows are aired a year after the new season aired in the US because of the dubbing. Since I have my own laptop, I've been watching several American shows online rather than on TV because it's a good way to exercise my English listening comprehension and I don't have to wait a year to know what's going to happen next. I'd actually rather we didn't dub anything and just used subtitles, but maybe they think we're too lazy to read them, I don't know. For example, I know that in the Netherlands they air the new seasons a few months after the original airing because they only have to create subtitles and that's it. If it were like that here, I would maybe consider waiting a few months... I actually live in Brussels, Belgium and when Grey's Anatomy started airing here in 2006 on French-speaking channel RTL-TVI, I couldn't watch it on a regular basis because of school etc. Sometime last year, I decided to catch up on Grey's Anatomy and watched everything back from season 1 until the then current season 8 and now I'm waiting for the season 9 premiere like you do. I just won't be able to watch it 'live' due to the time difference. In France, GA airs on TF1 but they haven't yet started airing the eighth season, while RTL-TVI began the airing in July –I have both channels so I know ^^. This summer there were reruns of the fifth season on TF1; I watched some episodes and it made me realize that I prefer watching it in English now that I'm used to it. You should hear how different the dub-voices are from the original voices, and it's really distracting when the French voice of one character is the same used for another show's character! In some dubbed TV shows, the lips don't even match the words. In France, however, there's now digital television (TNT) which gives the viewer the choice between the English version with/without subtitles and the French version but I don't know if everyone in France has TNT. In Belgium, it's also possible to have digital television but I don't have it and even if I did, I would still watch online to avoid the wait of almost a year because that doesn't change.
- As for "It the End of the World": I totally understand your point of view; it's obvious the ratings won't normally beat those of second and third season episodes but I can't tell you what you should do though I don't mind if it stays as is. Was it a strong recommandation from the person in question or just a piece of advice? --Sofffie7 (talk) 11:35, 23 August 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for the detailed response! It makes sense to watch it online in English, rather than waiting for a voice that isn't the actors. For ITEOTW, I could possibly see the viewership jumping above 38million, if GA got another post-superbowl slot. However, the next two superbowls are not aired on ABC, so unless GA gets renewed past 10 seasons (highly unlikely), I can't see the jump. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 19:32, 23 August 2012 (UTC)
- You're welcome for the detailed answer, at least if you really mean it lol. I know when I read it, I found it pretty long but I didn't know how to explain myself better with less words ^^ . I forgot the episode got such a 'push' thanks to the Superbowl but now you've mentioned it, it makes sense. I actually wonder until when the show's gonna be on the air. I can't imagine next season to be as successful as before without Mark , Lexie and Teddy. Also, this makes think of Private Practice; how are they going to do when Kate Walsh leaves? I think the upcoming season should be the last, though I read Shonda hopes there will be more. The fact that their timeslot moved and that they got renewed for 13 episodes only means that it's not doing very well so maybe it's time to end it and preferrably on a good note. It would do her good so that she can focus on Scandal and Grey's. Have you watched Scandal? --Sofffie7 (talk) 20:02, 23 August 2012 (UTC)
- No, I really did like the detailed answer! I think PP should end after S6, but they should get 24 eps since it would be a final season. I've seen Scandal' not really a fan. I feel like Shonda doesn't care about PP anymore, which is why she gave the coveted post-Grey's slot to Scandal; which isn't even doing so well. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 20:20, 23 August 2012 (UTC)
- Ok fine :) , it's just that sometimes it's hard to tell if someone's ironic or not... I haven't seen Sacandal yet, but the trailers didn't appeal to me. --Sofffie7 (talk) 20:31, 23 August 2012 (UTC)

Emmy talk
[edit]It's a bit stupid. So are you hoping that Loretta Devine takes home the guest actress emmy again? TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 20:33, 23 August 2012 (UTC)
- Yes I sure am. It's such a shame Sandra Oh was not recognized, but what can we do?! =/ And for the male guest, I hope it's Jason Ritter from Parenthood who wins but I remember he's got serious contenders next to him. One month left and we have the results :) --Sofffie7 (talk) 20:44, 23 August 2012 (UTC)
- I am so mad about Sandra Oh; her performance in "Hope for the Hopeless" was amazing. Who are you hoping takes home Outstanding Drama Series? I'm pushing for Breaking Bad or Mad Men. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 21:02, 23 August 2012 (UTC)
- Oh yeah, the ending scene when Cristina had that argument Owen: so powerful! It's too sad. I hope Sandra gets a good story too this year–I read Crisitna and Owen will slowly reconcile, I can't wait!– and that this possible good story gets rewarded. For best series, I don't really like any of them but if I really had to choose I'd say Mad Men or Downtown Abbey; my mom loves it and I've come to like it ;) For Best Actress maybe Julianna Marguiles and for Best Actor, I don't know; I wish Hugh Laurie was nominated... And you? --Sofffie7 (talk) 21:34, 23 August 2012 (UTC)
- Look here. Wetpaint made a list of all the scenes that prove Sandra deserved an Emmy. As I said, I think HFTH is the best out of all 5. That ending right after he screams "you killed our baby"; her face displays so much emotion and she doesn't even say anything. She's amazing. Which clip do you think is the most deserving? I am so curious as to what episode she submitted for consideration; if I ever met her that would be the first thing I asked her. Best Lead actress I'm pushing for Elizabeth Moss (MM), and Best Actor I'm hoping for either Jon Hamm (MM) or Bryan Cranston (BB). What are your hopes on supporting roles? TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 21:40, 23 August 2012 (UTC)

I tried to watch the videos but it's not working so I'll try tomorrow and tell you my final answer but from what I recall I think her argument with Owen at Zola's birthday was one of the best and when she had to repeat how Henry died to Teddy. I don't remember the scene when she begged Meredith and her state of shock in "Flight" was well acted but not worth of an Emmy, I think. I also kinda loved the bathroom scene when Owen fell on the ground and afterwards when she threw him cereals. For the supporting actors I don't have any favorite but I can tell you who I don't want to see win and that is the guy from Game of Thrones :P
Off-topic: are you planning on sending a newsletter for this week or will you wait for next Monday/Tuesday? I don't want to put any pressure on you; I'm just wondering :) --Sofffie7 (talk) 22:22, 23 August 2012 (UTC)
- I completely forgot about it until this morning. I think it would be worthless to send it this late in the week, so I'll just do it Monday. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 22:24, 23 August 2012 (UTC)
Oh my god! Lol I just watched the dubbed French version of "Save Me" on the S1DVD, and it was so weird! It's so odd to hear different voices and it's so annoying that their lips don't match what they're saying. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 04:44, 26 August 2012 (UTC) And it's odd that the music is still in English, lol. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 04:45, 26 August 2012 (UTC)
- Hahaha :D Was it the French from France or French Québecois from Canada because that is really awful to hear. I don't exactly remember which voice I hate the most in French but I think it was Meredith's and Mark's lol. But for the music, you can't translate it into French; that would be weirder! We're actually used to having English music in TV series so that's really not a problem and thanks to them I've discovered so many great bands! Songs are normally not translated except in musical films or in kids' animated films like, for example, The Lion King or Toy Story .
- Getting back to the previous subject: I couldn't watch most of the videos Wetpaint listed–the Hulu ones–because I'm not in the US. So I watched the Meredith/Cristina scene and the scene during which Cristina cries after she hears about Owen's affair on Youtube, and now I can confirm you that to me her 'best' scene was her argument with Owen and when she has to repeat how Henry died –I did not rewatch it because I remember it well. --Sofffie7 (talk) 10:18, 26 August 2012 (UTC)
Have you seen this?
[edit]I was thinking of the other episodes Oh had been nominated for in the past. Her season three nomination was well deserved. Do you think she did better acting in that than in "Hope for the Hopeless"? TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 04:14, 27 August 2012 (UTC)
- Hey, I'll watch that later if you don't mind :) I didn't know Youtube allowed videos of 48 minutes! --Sofffie7 (talk) 09:50, 28 August 2012 (UTC)
- That's fine! I didn't know they could put up full length episodes either. Also, did you watch Army Wives on Sunday!? Any word on if it's getting a seventh season? I hope it's not cancelled. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 18:38, 28 August 2012 (UTC)
- Yes I did!! So, have you seen all the episodes starting from season 1? No I don't know, no announcement has been made. I hope it's gonna get renewed too but when you see how the stories are heading up to the finale, it looks like it's gonna be the end =/ Did you notice the absence of Kim Delaney, it's been a long time now! I'd like to see her for the finale. I hope Michael and Claudia Joy are not having problems; they were/are the strongest couple of the show! And it doesn't even make sense because last time we saw them together, their couple was ok. I read the actress has had problems in September but that's no reason to kill off the character. --Sofffie7 (talk) 19:15, 28 August 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, I haven't missed an episode since the first one! I know Sally Pressman said that it probably was going to get renewed, so I am hoping it will. I don't see why it would get cancelled. The show just hit its highest rating since the season premiere (3.57 mil.), but then again it's not pulling in the 4 million per episode it used to. I was so shocked that Michael was cheating on Claudia Joy; I'm glad Denise and Frank didn't ignore it. I hope Kim Delaney comes back soon, and if there's a seventh season, I really hope she comes back. I hate getting attached to shows that get cancelled; we're lucky how successful Grey's has been. It's so odd that Army Wives' top number is around 4 million, and Grey's Anatomy's top number is 38 million! I guess their really is a difference between cable and network shows. Also, did you know Grey's and AW are produced by the same company? TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 19:41, 28 August 2012 (UTC)
- Well Michael hasn't yet admitted he's been seeing another woman but it's certainly strange and the fact that he asked Frank to shut the door doesn't arrange anything. If he's not cheating, would that mean CJ is sick? Yeah I discovered both shows were related when I started developing Army wives' article. I think AW doesn't attract lots of people because it's on Lifetime. Personally, since I'm not from the US, I didn't know that network. It's only when I started developing Army Wives's article that I knew of its existence and I learned that, besides being a cable network, it mostly airs women's programs. That's maybe a reason there's not a big audience and like any other show, the audience decreases after several seasons. --Sofffie7 (talk) 20:04, 28 August 2012 (UTC)
- There's definitely a major difference with cable shows and network shows. The funny thing, though, is that even though network shows get higher viewership and ratings, it's the cable shows that are lauded with Emmys.

Predictions
[edit]So here's my take on how the S9 premiere is gonna go. Either it's gonna bring in a lot of viewers, or it's gonna bring in a decreased amount from the finale. A lot of people who stopped watching Grey's years ago will probably be back to watch the premiere, because they found out their veteran character Lexie died, and they want to see what happens. Because if you think about it, nothing major has happened like that since George's death. I mean, the shooting was really good, but no main characters actually died, so viewers who stopped watching were not compelled to return. However, there is the possibility that viewers are so enraged with Lexie's death, that they boycott watching the show. If it goes the other way, this episode could pull in the kinds of numbers it used to. Imagine if it got even 16 million; the show hasn't hit those numbers since the shooting; in fact, the highest number S8 got was 12 million. Even if it does, though, once old viewers know who survives, they will probably stop watching, unless Shonda can make the S9 premiere feel like a classic Grey's episode. I'm rambling here, lol. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 04:32, 29 August 2012 (UTC)
Also, thanks for destubbing "Shiny Happy People" :-) TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 15:46, 29 August 2012 (UTC)
- I'll keep on watching until everyone I like leaves or until the stories become really annoying; but I totally understand the American viewers that might not watch the show anymore or stop after the first 2 episodes. I know it was Chyler Leigh's choice to leave the show but did her character really have to die? I know it's a drama series but still... And what is the point of keeping Dane for only 2 episodes. For the same price, he could have left Seattle happy with Lexie. Why do Mer/Der deserve their happy ending but the others don't? I feel like I'm repeating myself week after week (and sorry for that) but I believe lots of fans have the same questions and we just can't say 'Amen' to every story Shonda and her staff write. I'm afraid they're gonna ruin the show. As you said, there's a chance, the premiere and maybe the next episode will attract old viewers and those that have stuck with the show but I think it's gonna decrease afterwards. I can't imagine how the show could see any improvement with the departures of 3 beloved main characters, despite the addition of new characters. And by the way, when will Alex finally settle down with someone? I thought that by the end of the eighth season he would have developed feelings for the woman whose baby was premature... Oh and what is for you a "classic" GA episode? ;)
- You're welcome for "Shiny Happy People" :) I particularly liked the episode because of Demi Lovato's presence and Alex who was amazing in it. There was more stuff on Grey Matter about the episode, but I couldn't decide what was worth writing/rephrasing so I let it that way for now. Maybe I'll continue to develop it but not in the next few days, I think.
- I still haven't watched "From a Whisper to a Scream"... Instead I watched the summer finale of Pretty Little Liars. Do you know the series? There's a lot of suspense and the last episode was just crazy! :D --Sofffie7 (talk) 19:27, 29 August 2012 (UTC)
- I think I'll keep watching until the conclusion, regardless of how horrible the storylines get, because I just love it. I really feel like Mark and Lexie should have left Seattle together; that would have been perfect. I feel like Shonda & Co. think the reason people like the show is because of death, but it's not, it's because of the characters. People get attached to them, and then she just kills them off. In regard to Alex, don't even get me started lol. He was destined to be with Izzie, and I think about how horrible it is that she's gone everyday. She was easily one of my favorite characters, and the way she left was ridiculous. She had no closure or goodbye; she just up and left. To make it worse, Heigl said in January that she wanted to return, and Shonda didn't pursue this. Izzie was a fan favorite (also the only star billed cast member to win an Emmy), and the show could reach a higher success if she was back. Izzie&Alex fans who boycotted the show after she left would probably return to watch. Now I get that Heigl may only want to be in a few episodes, so how about at the end of the series, Alex and Izzie reunite. After all, if the show was over, Heigl wouldn't have to be on, but we would know that Izzie and Alex are together :-) So as much as I want Alex to be happy, it would make me sad to see him with anyone else but Izzie. A classic Grey's episode for me is something pulled out of seasons 1 and 2; those episodes were so great. "It's the End of the World" was really amazing from S2. Season 3 and 4 were a bit mediocre; what with the whole George and Izzie thing. I also really loved S5; "What a Difference a Day Makes" is one of the best episodes of the series (no matter how many times I watch it, I can't get enough. The bittersweet moments when Izzie finds out she has cancer and then marries Alex are amazing.) If you can't tell by now, I'm an insane Alex and Izzie fan. Season 6 was ok to me, season 7 was outright boring, and season 8 was pretty good. I don't know, the show just doesn't give me that special feeling these days the way it used to. Ok you might think I'm crazy, but I was never insane about "MerDer". I mean they have chemistry and I like them together, but not like how I like Izzie and Alex together. My favorite couples are Alex and Izzie, Mark and Lexie, and Callie and George (call me crazy, I thought they were good). Oh my god, I rambled again. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 04:12, 30 August 2012 (UTC)
- I totally agree with you! Alex & Izzie, Mark & Lexie are my favorite couples with Denny & Izzie, just gotta love them! I like a lot Mer/Der but their on-and-off relationship was very annoying and sometimes I can't stand how Meredith is behaving. I also like Cristina & Owen, more than Cristina with Burke :) It's a real shame Shonda doesn't even want to consider taking Katherine back. I think she's still mad at her, and rather than make the fans happy she only thinks about "how did she dare leave my show". Her excuse of being on a track that can't be changed is lame! I understand your point of view on Alex and I wish he would end up with Izzie too but at the same time, if it doesn't happen, I don't want to see him alone :/ Maybe it would have been better to kill Izzie back in season 5 so that we wouldn't have had the horrible end on season 6, I don't know. Also, even if Shonda & Co. accept to take Katherine back for a few episodes, it doesn't mean they will give us what we want... I read somewhere someone saying the worse for a writer is being told what he should do in his show, and while I get that I think it's thanks to the viewers their show is successful so it wouldn't hurt if they did that once. Yeah Izzie's wedding was so beautiful, I always cry when I see it. Callie & George were ok but nothing special to me. I actually liked Callie with Mark lol. So when Lexie was when Jackson, I kinda hoped Callie would dump Arizona for Mark haha. --Sofffie7 (talk) 18:29, 30 August 2012 (UTC)
- Don't get me wrong; I love Meredith and Derek together, but I'm just not attached to their relationship. To be honest, I kind of liked Derek and Addison together. I have mixed feelings on Cristina and Owen. Owen isn't supportive of Cristina, and I didn't like how mean he was to her about her abortion. I actually kind of miss Cristina and Burke together. I would have been so devastated if Izzie died with George in S5. I liked Callie and Mark too! I don't know why the writers turned Callie into a lesbian; I feel she always had better chemistry with men on the show. For example, her and Erica were horrible together! That storyline was a fail, and it's a good thing she was written off. I didn't like the way she treated Cristina, and I always felt she was too mean for Callie. Plus, every time she was on screen, it made me feel like I was watching The Silence of the Lambs (1991), lol. For Alex, the only other people I liked him with were Addison, and Ava "Rebecca". It would be such a smart idea to bring Reaser back this season as a main character, and have her and Alex be in a relationship! She has to be sane by now, right? That would be a really great plot twister, and it would remind me of the old times of the show. :-) TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 21:52, 30 August 2012 (UTC)

Totally random, seriously
[edit]Hi, so as the header says, this message is totally random. I was thinking of how the series is going to end, and I thought of something horrible they could do. Ok, so imagine at the end, Mer is giving a voice-over about dreaming and life. Then, it cuts back to her waking up and seeing Derek on the floor. She then delivers a final voiceover like: "Residency, the pavement of your surgical career. Imagine having to do it all over." The thing would be that everything that happened was her dream, and she's just waking up on her first day of internship. I imagine Shonda doing something crazy; after all, if the series is over, they wouldn't have to worry about future ratings. As annoyed as I would be with that ending, it would also mean that George, Lexie, Ellis, etc. arent't dead and Izzie isn't gone. Lol, yeah, like I said: random. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 05:09, 9 September 2012 (UTC)
- Wow, that's a crazy scenario! I'm not sure I would like to see that... Have you seen this pic, so cute :) I can't wait for Sept 27! And to think that some shows are starting again this week makes me more impatient ;) Have you seen the Army Wives finale? I've just finished watching it... --Sofffie7 (talk) 22:39, 10 September 2012 (UTC)
- Oh, my God, yes! What a shocking and discomforting ending! If this show doesn't get renewed, it will go down as one of the biggest unresolved cliffhangers. Ugh. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 22:41, 10 September 2012 (UTC)
- The episode was good until the implied plane crash. The saddest scene was David and Joan's goodbye, I totally cried lol. I hated we didn't see CJ at all, not even to say goodbye to Roxy! Do you think it means we won't see Roxy & Trevor again next season? :( Their departure was well done though, maybe too similar to Pamela's but I loked it anyway. When Penny told she couldn't raise the baby, I knew it would be for Charlie & Nicole. I think before the adoption, Nicole could have at least tried to get pregnant. As for the ending, it would be too obvious the phone call was about the plane so I think it might be about CJ. Maybe a car accident and so the character would be killed off and no more behind-the-scenes problems (hopefully I'm wrong and we'll see her back healthy and happy). I don't know how the ratings were this year, but Lifetime has to give fans a proper series finale. According to this article there's a chance the show gets renewed :)) --Sofffie7 (talk) 09:38, 11 September 2012 (UTC)
- Update: The show has been renewed!!! :D However, they say Kim Delaney probably won't return and that would suck since her character did not get a proper goodbye... :( Oh and I'm still waiting for your thoughts on the finale ;) --Sofffie7 (talk) 17:46, 27 September 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, I heard it got renewed! Maybe KD will make a goodbye guest appearance? I thought the finale was well put-together. Ok, unrelated, is it just me, or was it such a joke when they replaced TJ with some other kid in S5? Lol, TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 18:51, 27 September 2012 (UTC)
- I don't know why they changed him. It was hard for me to get used to him but I've come to like the actor :) I hope KD does come back for at least one episode. I know Roxy & Trevor left but I'd like to see them again and also Pamela ;) --Sofffie7 (talk) 18:59, 27 September 2012 (UTC)
- In other news, GA is finally back tonight! My guesses are that Mark is dead, and Arizona is either dead or paralyzed. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 19:05, 27 September 2012 (UTC)

Also, I have to share. I go on Google news, and I see "Grey's Anatomy season 9....Izzie returns". So I got all excited and then I read the article: wow, the most misleading article I've ever read. Read the whole thing, you'll get what I mean. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 19:25, 27 September 2012 (UTC)
- It's way too easy to kill Mark; I really hope it doesn't happen! Imagine, we learn he's dead in this first episode and then we have to see next week how he died (his surgery, etc) already knowing the horrible outcome. Seriously, I don't really care about Arizona lol. Oh yeah that's bad title! I understand how you got so excited and then you read it's not Izzie or a flashback but just another character who has a similar personality; lame! =/ I'll watch the episode tomorrow morning (so maybe in 8-9 hours) or tomorrow evening. I can't wait! --Sofffie7 (talk) 21:42, 27 September 2012 (UTC)
- I've just watched the preview for the episode on GA's fb page. I don't know if it was uploaded somewhere else earlier but there it was an hour ago. You see Cristina throwing things, Mark crashing,... In short, the episode is going to be epic! --Sofffie7 (talk) 22:02, 27 September 2012 (UTC)
- Don't read this until you watch the premiere. Ugh, what a letdown. I'm so devastated that Mark died. But, I'm happy that Alex is staying. It's also shocking that Arizona's left leg is amputated! It was an emotional episode, but next weeks' looks way better. The preview you saw was for S9E2. I'm really eager to see how the episode rated, and your thoughts on it! TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 02:21, 28 September 2012 (UTC)
- I've just finished watching the episode... OMG I can't believe Mark died. I cried in the finale when Lexie died because it was sooo unexpected. Here the episode was well done and Mark did get a proper goodbye thanks to the home videos and Derek and Callie sitting next to him but it was less emotional, than Lexie's death which happened so quickly and suddenly. I regret she didn't get a commemoration like Sloan. Maybe it will take place in next week's episode? Though I was really hoping Mark would wake up even after they removed the life support system, I kinda expected he would die so I did not cry. eah I'm glad Karev decided to stay :) I thought Owen would go visit Cristina but no he had to rehire April =S Yeah I noticed during the episode none of the scenes I saw in the preview appeared in this episode and that explains why before I went to bed the preview had been removed (maybe some fans complained). --Sofffie7 (talk) 09:18, 28 September 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, I share most of your thoughts on the episode. So, two things. One, the ratings are in; 4.3 rating, 11.6 million viewers. So, we're definitely up from "Flight", but I was hoping for a higher number. Perhaps next week. Second, our article on GA says Dane departed, with no explanation given by us, and that Raver departed due to her own choice. It's sourced to TVLine. Strangely, E! Online is saying otherwise. So what is a more reliable source? TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 19:04, 28 September 2012 (UTC)

- Also, is it just me, or did the new batch of interns annoy you? At first, I thought they were going to be the center of attention, which really annoyed me. Then, the same song was played as used in the series premiere, and the episode started with some random girl. To make it worse, the appy was a mimic of George's experience. I was so sure they were going to say 007; that would've really pissed me off. Ok, second matter. Updating! The main page and some character pages are out of date now. We should go through the character list and update all of their storylines, leads, and occupations. I did some; if you noticed, I noted if an article needs more work in the edit summaries. Finally, I don't know if you're busy this weekend, but I was wondering if you wanted to collaborate and develop "Going, Going, Gone" to GA? There's tons of production info and reception for it on the internet, so it wouldn't be too hard. Let me know, TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 19:26, 28 September 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah I saw the ratings an hour ago too. It's better than last season's premiere so that's not bad but when you compare to the seventh's season premiere there's a big difference! Hmm for the sources I don't know which one is more reliable, what did TVLine say? I used the E! Online one on Dane's character article to explain there was another reason to his departure. However, I think the line in the E! Online article on Raver has a problem: it says she wanted more screen time so the decision was mutual and there was also a possibility of her having her own show, but the 'so' is strange. If she wanted more screen time, then she did not agree on leaving. Do you understand what I'm trying to say? Lol.
- Oh yeah I noticed they used the same song, I wonder why they did that. The only interns I liked are the ones played Jerrika Hinton and Gaius Charles. The girl who complained about Mer being mean was really annoying. I mean she has the right to think that but telling the Chief, really?! I know the storylines need updating and I noticed IPs already started the work, that should be quick. Well, I'll be a bit busy this weekend but I'm willing to help when I'm online. Does the episode have to be done by the end of the weekend? I know there's a lot of reviews on the episode but I didn't start the article because I wasn't sure we'd find stuff for the prod (except casting info). --Sofffie7 (talk) 19:51, 28 September 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, well you have to think: the S7 premiere was directly following the shooting, and that was one of the show's greatest episodes. TVLine said Dane had been thinking about leaving, so maybe they fit. I get what you mean about Raver. As for S9E1, no, it does not need to be done this weekend. There is actually a lot of production information when you think of all the pre-production information that was released. Also, I don't know if you saw this, but it gives a lot of good production information (motives, explanations, etc.). Speaking of that post by Shonda, I would have liked if Mark went off to be with Addison! I loved him and Lexie together, but I also liked him and Addison, and that way he could have been alive and made seasonal guest appearances. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 20:22, 28 September 2012 (UTC)
- Yes I was busy reading it lol. But then the problem would have been that he would have left Callie, Arizona and Sofia... I actually thought about the option of him reuniting with Addison this afternoon but like Shonda says, I think it would have been uncool that he says Lexie's the love of his life and then goes with Addison. It would have required several episodes to build up a new romance between them. In fact he shouldn't have dated Julia. I wonder when Shonda learned she had to make cast cuts, because if she had known that in February or March, she could have killed Lexie and Mark in the same episode. I think that if she had written out Kepner and why not the Chief (when will he retire?) along with Teddy and Lexie, I'm sure there would have been enough money to keep Dane. Shonda's post also gives information about the finale (her plan of not having Lexie on the plane at first) which we could add later in the article ;) --Sofffie7 (talk) 20:54, 28 September 2012 (UTC)
- I see your point. Also, where was Julia last episode? I find it odd that his current girlfriend would not have been by his bedside. If she knew early, why cut any of them? She could have cut repulsive April, who everyone hates, Jackson (not that I don't like his character, but I don't think anyone was attached to him as they were with Lexie and Mark), and I guess Teddy would have been the logical third cut. Or, they could have saved money by not hiring those annoying new interns. I hope this season is really good, and it keeps the ratings up. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 21:01, 28 September 2012 (UTC)
- I don't know either where she was lol. Despite knowing early, she still had to cut some. Leigh easily agreed to leave, Raver was not important, and then it should have been Kepner: as she failed her boards, she decided to quit and become a farmer instead lol but Shonda certainly felt there was more to tell (her story with Jackson). In my script, Mark would have ended up somehow with Addison or Callie at the end of the season 9 because her relationship with Arizona would have worsened since she blames her for the amputation. Jackson on his part would have found a new girl and the bromance with Mark would have continued... Shonda says there will be weddings and babies; the wedding could be Bailey with Ben and for the babies, maybe Meredith will get pregnant?! ^^ --Sofffie7 (talk) 21:24, 28 September 2012 (UTC)
- I agree with you. But Meredith can't get pregnant because of her hostile uterus, right? Also, did you see the final ratings!? We're up from 11.5 to 11.7 and we're up from 4.3 to 4.4! Finally, can you please comment on my new post at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Grey's Anatomy/Administrative board? Thanks, TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 21:32, 28 September 2012 (UTC)

WikiProject Grey's Anatomy Weekly Newsletter: August 27, 2012
[edit]Hello members of WikiProject Grey's Anatomy! We are sending out our weekly newsletter with updates about the project and tasks. Big apologies for the lack of the newsletter last week! What a busy two weeks it's been! We have several new achievements and updates to be announced! List of Grey's Anatomy episodes, developed by TRLIJC19 and Jonathan Harold Koszeghi, is now a featured list! "Give Peace a Chance", written by TRLIJC19, was promoted to a featured article last night, after spending only 7 days in candidacy! "Losing My Religion" was listed as a good article last week, developed by Sofffie7, TRLIJC19, and Jonathan Harold Koszeghi. List of Grey's Anatomy cast members, developed by TRLIJC19, recently entered the process of featured list candidacy—we urge you to review the list here. Grey's Anatomy, developed by TRLIJC19, and Grey's Anatomy (season 3), developed by Jonathan Harold Koszeghi, are still in the preparations for featured article candidacy.
|
The weekly initiative this week is to search the internet, and find season 6 reviews to add to Grey's Anatomy. Search through google archives, and news websites, to find reviews that talk about season 6 in entirety. Please make sure the reviews you find come from a highly reliable source such as a major news site, or a well-known magazine. If you find some reviews, please post them on the talk page of Grey's Anatomy, where they will be evaluated for quality. If you find a suitable review, that fits the criteria we are looking for, you will be awarded a barnstar! Take part in this initiative, have fun searching for reviews, feel proud after the review you find is added to the main article, and be rewarded with barnstars! Help make a difference and get started! Furthermore, if you notice that any user has participated in any weekly initiative and was not rewarded, give them a barnstar ASAP!
Have fun, and don't forget to only look at renowned sites! We hope to see several season 6 reviews posted on the talk page soon!

Request
[edit]Hi. A huge request if I may. I was actually wondering if you could leave some comments/oppose/support at List of The X-Files episodes' FLC. Thanks. If accepted, or even if not, I can do something in return for you. TBrandley 00:19, 31 August 2012 (UTC)
- Sure, I will but only later because now I really have to go... Bedtime ;) --Sofffie7 (talk) 00:35, 31 August 2012 (UTC)

- Lol you got me Joey ^^ It was indeed 2:38 am. Oh my... 5:30 am?! And then you only wake up in the afternoon and your day is already over. I've never been up so late because of Wikipedia; the latest was 3:30 am maybe. But yeah, we're all addicted to Wikipedia haha! --Sofffie7 (talk) 10:14, 31 August 2012 (UTC)

Characters
[edit]Hi, so I'm in the process of developing my September to-do list, and a main task I have is the characters. Would you be willing to take a few character articles to GA next month? After they all reach GA, we can develop List of Grey's Anatomy characters to featured status, and get a good topic for the characters of Grey's Anatomy! It would also be nice to have one featured character, and I was thinking Sadie Harris is probably the easiest to take to FA. Let me know, TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 16:12, 31 August 2012 (UTC)
- I don't about "a few" because school will soon resume so... Let's just begin with one :) Creativity will soon have finished her work on George so that's one more possible GA. I think I read the other day that Jonathan was thinking of taking Erica to FA. Are you sure Sadie can be a candidate? I personally don't know what we could add. --Sofffie7 (talk) 16:24, 31 August 2012 (UTC)
- Lol, one is fine. Yeah, Jonathan told me that, but he is too busy on GA S3 and that's honestly not a good candidate. Sadie's article is good because it's paraphrased, clear, and concise. As long as there's no other information to add, it's comprehensive. After some cleanup, a peer review, and a copyedit, it should be good to go. So, which character do you want? Preston Burke's article is pretty good, and wouldn't require as much work as let's say Richard Webber's. I plan on doing a cleanup to George O'Malley, and then C97 should be good to nominate it. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 16:27, 31 August 2012 (UTC)
- Hmmm he's not a character I really like lol but I see the storylines and the casting/creation section are quite complete, so it should take less time than the others. I'll try to find stuff for the characterization and the reception. I'm also interested in Alex, Mark, Jackson, and Cristina's page (+ Derek and Miranda) so if someone chooses one of them, then count me in to help. --Sofffie7 (talk) 16:52, 31 August 2012 (UTC)
- I think I'm going to take a few character articles next month—I find them easy to develop. One character I refuse to work on is April—I hate her character and I will not spend hours researching for her article. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 18:10, 31 August 2012 (UTC)
- Ok but which one do you want to take? I'm actually now doing a bit of research on Preston Burke and I've just found this, click on the 5th page... ^^ --Sofffie7 (talk) 18:39, 31 August 2012 (UTC)
- I think I'll take Cristina, Alex, Derek, and Bailey. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 18:54, 31 August 2012 (UTC)
- I don't want to step on your toes but would you mind if I worked on those articles too? I mean, would you like us to collaborate again like we did on Lexie and Sadie, or do you prefer to work on those articles by yourself? --Sofffie7 (talk) 19:33, 31 August 2012 (UTC)
- Of course! I love collaborating with you on articles :-) It makes it easier and faster also. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 20:46, 31 August 2012 (UTC)

Concerns
[edit]I don't know if you've done an 'active check' lately, but I am wondering if M.Mario is still active? Also, Jonathan hasn't updated 'recent happenings' in almost two weeks, so perhaps a firmer warning this time. Sigh. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 16:55, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
- Well, a few weeks ago I asked you if his comments on the peer review for Give Peace a Chance were considered as Grey's Anatomy-related edits, and you said yes so if you haven't changed your mind, I'll send him an inactive notification on September 4 (I did not forget him). The message for Jonathan has been sent ;) By the way, sorry that you had to notify me about him but I rarely check the project's page... --Sofffie7 (talk) 17:27, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
- Ok, then I guess we'll do Sep 4. Wait, will he be inactive or semi-active on the 4th? Oh and don't worry about the Jonathan thing :-) By the way, Tate (TBrandley) is developing Jackson Avery to GA—I know you said you were interested in that article. That said, Tate isn't familiar with the show, so if you could clean up and condense the storylines, that'd be great :-) TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 17:33, 1 September 2012 (UTC)
- It will be one month of inactivity -> semi-active. There's no problem for Jackson. I'll do a bit of condensing but I can't promise it will be fine after because I tried to condense Alex's storylines a few weeks ago and I just erased about 2ko lol. --Sofffie7 (talk) 17:43, 1 September 2012 (UTC)

Find anything on Burke yet? As a note, some of the stuff in 'casting and creation' actually belongs in 'characterization'. Ok, so we have 20 characters; 9 are GA. We can do it! TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 19:22, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
- I haven't been looking today and yesterday was just a 5-10 minute thing when I put you the link the worst list (I was shocked!). Yesterday, I also found the name of the guy who was supposed to play Burke at first; it's a guy from PP! Did you know that? I was actually going to turn off my computer because I have some stuff to do before I go to bed... I'll search more seriously for sources on Burke tomorrow ;) I noticed too some stuff were misplaced but I figured I'd move them later. --Sofffie7 (talk) 19:51, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
- Who from PP?! TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 19:54, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
- So you didn't know ^^ It's Paul Adelstein! --Sofffie7 (talk) 20:04, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
- Oh, my God! I can't imagine him playing Burke; very interesting info for 'casting and creation'! TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 20:09, 2 September 2012 (UTC)

Hi again
[edit]If possible, could you leave comments at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Nightswimming (Awake)/archive1 and Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Awake (TV series)/archive2. I'm open to doing anything in return. :). TBrandley 16:34, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
- Done ;) Sofffie7 (talk) 18:56, 2 September 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks! Nothing in return? TBrandley 18:58, 2 September 2012 (UTC)

Cristina
[edit]Hi there, I saw you were cleaning up some more of Cristina's storylines and I wanted to thank you! And I was just wondering if you wouldn't touch anything else of the article until I'm done adding things to it? I'd appreciate that. Once I'm done with that process it'll all be good! Thanks again. Creativity97 (TALK) 19:00, 3 September 2012 (UTC)
- Ok no problem. I removed obvious detailed stuff and will see if I can reduce the section more when you're finished :) If I can't then I guess Joey will do it. --Sofffie7 (talk) 19:09, 3 September 2012 (UTC)
- I have lots of good casting information to add, but unfortunately I can't add it tonight. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 23:31, 3 September 2012 (UTC)
Notice
[edit]Hi, medical school recently resumed, so I have been extremely busy. That said, I didn't even remember to send out the newsletter Monday. Depending on how much work I am given this week, I may not be able to do any major editing until the weekend. However, I'll pop in when I don't have class, and will always answer talk page posts immediately, with my cellphone. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 04:13, 5 September 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting me know. For me, school starts again on Sept 17. Yesterday and the day before I tried to find information on Preston Burke but did not find much, just what I added (don't know if you saw it?). In this case, it's actually maybe more difficult than other characters because lots of articles deal with the controversy... The casting section should be fine now, unless you've got stuff to add. --Sofffie7 (talk) 19:53, 5 September 2012 (UTC)
- I wish I had until the 17th to keep voraciously editing! Nevertheless, this weekend I'll run through Burke's article, and look for areas of improvement. Great work on the article! TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 21:56, 5 September 2012 (UTC)

WikiProject Grey's Anatomy Weekly Newsletter: September 10, 2012
[edit]Hello members of WikiProject Grey's Anatomy! We are sending out our weekly newsletter with updates about the project and tasks. Big apologies for the lack of the newsletter last week! We have several new achievements and updates to be announced! List of Grey's Anatomy cast members, developed by TRLIJC19, is in the process of featured list candidacy. George O'Malley, written by Creativity97, was promoted to good article status last week! Cristina Yang, developed by TRLIJC19, Creativity97, and Sofffie7, is now a good article nominee! Our good article character count continues to rapidly increase! Jackson Avery is being developed to good article quality by TBrandley; we are excited for it to go live. Grey's Anatomy, developed by TRLIJC19, and Grey's Anatomy (season 3), developed by Jonathan Harold Koszeghi, are still in the preparations for featured article candidacy. There are many things to be done for the project, in an attempt to exemplify its best work. Below is a list of tasks, and guidelines:
Tasks and Gudelines |

Please try to follow these tasks to the best of your abilities. As with any guideline, there may be exceptions, so use common sense when applying them.

Weekly Initiative!
The weekly initiative this week, a repeat of last time, is to search the internet, and find season 6 reviews to add to Grey's Anatomy.

Hey! I don't know if you've noticed, but I recently did a fairly major cleanup to Sadie Harris, in preparation for FAC. I am going to nominate it, with both of us as nominators. Is there anything you'd like to add to the article before I nominate? TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 20:24, 11 September 2012 (UTC)
- I have been offline the past 4 hours so I did not notice your changes 'live' but I would have noticed them now or a bit later without your message lol. I've just one question (otherwise the article looks good), is it normal that the PopSugar line has been removed? Do you think it applies more to the episode and not really to the character and that's why you've erased it? --Sofffie7 (talk) 21:21, 11 September 2012 (UTC)
- The reason I erased it, is because the source was called in to question before for not being reliable. I replaced it with an EW ref. I'll nominate now :-) Also, the cast list was just promoted! TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 21:27, 11 September 2012 (UTC)
- Nominated; see Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Sadie Harris/archive1. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 21:40, 11 September 2012 (UTC)
- Good :) I don't know if I'll be of a great help during the FL process but it's nice to be listed as co-nom, thanks. A big congratulations for the cast article; I hadn't noticed that ;) --Sofffie7 (talk) 21:49, 11 September 2012 (UTC)
- Haha of course you're a co-nom; you developed the article so much! Thanks for the cast congrats :-) TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 22:25, 11 September 2012 (UTC)

I addressed all the issues; hopefully Nick-D will strike his oppose. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 00:09, 14 September 2012 (UTC)
- Good work :) I hope he will change it in 'support'! --Sofffie7 (talk) 09:48, 14 September 2012 (UTC)
- Ok, Nick-D striked his oppose and supported. That means we have 5 supports, and 0 opposes. Also, a source review was recently done. Pending an image review, I'd say the article will be good to go for a near promotion. :-) TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 14:20, 15 September 2012 (UTC)
- That's good news :) --Sofffie7 (talk) 13:33, 16 September 2012 (UTC)
Entertainment Weekly doesn't like Wikipedia!
[edit]Lol, just came across this article on Entertainment Weekly. Sandra Gonzalez said "[...] or (barf) read Wikipedia." How rude! If only she knew how much hard work goes into the WP:SGH articles. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 20:30, 14 September 2012 (UTC)
- Ouch yeah, that's not cool. But the whole article is complete nonsense, I mean who cares about her friend lol. --Sofffie7 (talk) 20:36, 14 September 2012 (UTC)
- That's what I was thinking! No one wants to read about that. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 20:39, 14 September 2012 (UTC)
- Off-topic: did you read my reply about Army Wives above? Just wanted to know your thoughts... :) Oh and I was wondering, will you give Emily Owens, M.D. a try when it premieres in October? --Sofffie7 (talk) 20:43, 14 September 2012 (UTC)
- No, I didn't see. I will bring it up for discussion promptly, thanks. Haha I'll give EOMD a try if you give Private Practice a try—it premieres Tuesday Sep 25 at 10pm on ABC :-). TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 20:46, 14 September 2012 (UTC)
- Well, I don't want to force you to watch it. I was just wondering if you had heard about it and if you planned on trying it because it's a new medical show. I personally will watch the first episode and see if it's worth continuing, but I'm afraid it looks too much like Grey's Anatomy ^^ For PP, how do you want me to watch the new episodes if I haven't seen the previous ones? Lol, Sofffie7 (talk) 20:52, 14 September 2012 (UTC)
- No, I like giving new shows a try! For PP, if you know Addison, you'll be good. Unrelated, is InfamousPrince still active? TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 20:54, 14 September 2012 (UTC)
- He's not been active for the the past 2 weeks so if it doesn't change by September 27th, then I'll send him a message. I actually note everyone's last contribution on a word page so that I don't have to go back too far in someone's contributions to check if there's a change or not. I remembered I would have to send someone a msg at the end of the month so after opening the word page I would have checked the contribs of that user around that time. Thanks anyway, Sofffie7 (talk) 21:09, 14 September 2012 (UTC)
- That's a good way to keep track :-) TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 21:18, 14 September 2012 (UTC)
- I assume edits on Private Practice articles count as edits for the project since PP is part of the project despite having its own task-force, right? If not then I'll have to send Mattom a message asap since his last edit on Grey's was on August 11; otherwise it will be on September 28. --Sofffie7 (talk) 21:21, 14 September 2012 (UTC)
- I'd say PP counts too. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 21:34, 14 September 2012 (UTC)

- Lol thanks but I feel I helped it only to be GA, not FA. --Sofffie7 (talk) 10:48, 24 September 2012 (UTC)
- No way! You basically wrote all of 'development'! All I did to prep it for FA was a bit of clean up and copyediting. :-) TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 18:09, 24 September 2012 (UTC)
Taylor Swift - Begin Again
[edit]Hi, there is an ad in Billboard magazine stating it impacts country radio on October 1st. It is being released as a single. I cited a source and here is the ad, though I can't exactly cite this: http://i.imgur.com/FKEUC.png I give up on editing the page, I guess you'll see sooner than later that I'm right. It's the next single. Afireinside27 (talk) 19:39, 25 September 2012 (UTC)
- Hey, just to be clear, I'm not the IP that reverted your changes and since I don't know who is right, I did not change it to promotional. I have to admit that making such an announcement is strange if it's only a promotional single. I think we should wait before making any further changes concerning the status of the song ;) --Sofffie7 (talk) 19:49, 25 September 2012 (UTC)
Mark S9
[edit]Hi, so I'm developing "Going, Going, Gone", and while watching the episode, I noticed Dane is credited as starring. So, he is not currently a guest star, and should not be treated as such until his name is removed from the star billing. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 00:59, 29 September 2012 (UTC)
- Ok, no problem. I updated the storylines for Cristina, Alex, Derek, Miranda, April, and Owen. I still have to do Jackson, but I have to stop for now. Can you take a look at what has already been done? Thanks, Sofffie7 (talk) 14:31, 29 September 2012 (UTC)
- Sure. Thanks for doing Yang and Hunt; GAs should be top priority. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 15:25, 29 September 2012 (UTC)
- Your updates look good. :-) I honestly wouldn't even bother with the character list; that page is a horrible disaster. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 15:34, 29 September 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah we'll get on that page later ;) I'm going to bed now but just wondering, are you planning on nominating "Going" today (your time)? --Sofffie7 (talk) 23:26, 29 September 2012 (UTC)
- Hey, sorry for the delayed response. I was working on critical response and I kept losing my work when my computer crashed continuously. Nevertheless, I am finally done. I'm going to nominate the article for DYK and GA right now. :-) TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 04:47, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
- That's ok, I went to bed right away so I wasn't waiting for your answer. I added in the prod' the reason why the writers did not pursue the idea of Mark ending up with Addison, and Rhimes' quote on Dane agreeing to end Mark's storyline. If that quote is too much, then maybe you can rephrase it but I can't. I also moved some reviews like one about Robbins, which is now next to Capshaw, and I added the Boston Herald review–it's just one line. --Sofffie7 (talk) 13:33, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
- I liked the context you added about why the Addison thing didn't work. I think the quotes from Rhimes about why Dane is gone belong in his article and the episode article of his last appearance. I also really appreciate the additional review. Despite how many I saw the day of the premiere, I was having difficulty finding them, probably because Google News is packed with other info about next week's episode. By the way, I plan on nominating GGG for FA after a copyedit. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 15:02, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
- Ok, that will be for next week's episode then ;) Yeah, I added that review to balance the article with a bit of negative feedback. I read it on Friday and kept the link. --Sofffie7 (talk) 15:32, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
- I have an idea. Would you be interested in creating a S9 good topic? Every week(end), we can develop the latest episode to GA. One week, I'll do it, the next week you'll do it, and maybe Jonathan would like to participate. We could keep rotating, and by May, all the episodes would be classified as good. Once the season is over, we could all develop the season article, and get a good topic! :-) Let me know if you like this idea, TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 15:35, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
- I like the idea :) but I can't say in advance I'll be doing a third of the episodes because I may have schoolwork keeping me busy during the week/week-end or I may be simply away etc. For the prod' of the first episode as you said, there was plenty of info and that's due to a strong interest in the premiere but I'm not sure we'll always find stuff for the other episodes unless they're special ones. If only Shonda updated the Greymatter blog, that would be a lot easier ;) --Sofffie7 (talk) 16:01, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, but if you think about it, 1/3 is only 8 GAs across the whole TV year. You can usually phish out a lot from her Twitter. Also, the production sections of other episodes do not need to have the level of comprehensiveness as featured in GGG. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 16:06, 30 September 2012 (UTC)

Lorelai Gilmore
[edit]Hey, I noticed that you are planning on developing Lorelai Gilmore for GA. It would be a pleasure to work with you to promote the article. As a teenager, I would often watch the show - it was one of my favorites. Cheers, Sophie! Jonathan Harold Koszeghi (talk) 09:32, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah I'm developing it very slowly–I started in June lol. Maybe I should try to reduce the storylines a bit as it looks like a big block but not too much though because it lasted 7 seasons. You may of course work on the article when you have time :) I used to watch the show when I was a teenager too and I began rewatching everything this summer–I'm in the sixth season now. Lauren Graham is such a great actress, I can't believe she never got an Emmy nomination! That's a shame. --Sofffie7 (talk) 13:33, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, I know what you mean. But even Grey's Anatomy - a major network series, with a lot of viewers - hasn't been considered. I don't understand their criteria. However, as long as they have fans to look up to them, their efforts are rewarded. Jonathan Harold Koszeghi (talk) 15:06, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
- The Academy always goes for the little cable shows with no viewers. There wasn't even a network show nominated for Drama Series this year. IMO, GA is always snubbed, particularly Sandra Oh. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 15:12, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
- GA is not always snubbed, just since 2010 lol, while GG only got one Emmy nomination during its run and that was for make-up! Although GA actresses did not receive any Emmy nomination for a long time, they've still received a few since the beginning of the show. Lauren Graham and Kelly Bishop truly deserved to be nominated but it never happened. I find that more unfair than GA's recent snubs, if I may say so. --Sofffie7 (talk) 15:39, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
- Well yeah, not always. But Sandra Oh was fully deserving of a nomination for S8. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 15:52, 30 September 2012 (UTC)

I'm not retiring
[edit]I can't even stay away for 2 days; I'm not retiring. I think I'll just cut down. That said, I'd like you to remain as coordinator until I feel ready to devote that much time again. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 20:15, 7 October 2012 (UTC)
- I was just going to write you a message lol. "Glad" to see it's hard to stay away from Wikipedia lol. But how long do you want me to remain coordinator? This weekend I haven't done much editing and regarding your duties I haven't had anything to do up to now, or I didn't notice it. --Sofffie7 (talk) 20:23, 7 October 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, I think 2 days was enough to make me realize I have no interest in retiring. To be honest, I checked my watchlist frequently, so I was never really on break. As sad as I was to see Tate nominated the LMR picture for deletion, I was thrilled that it gave me an excuse to edit.
- Also, I would like to take an uncreated episode article up to featured status; any ideas? I was thinking maybe the season seven premiere, or "What a Difference a Day Makes".
- If you don't feel like being interim coordinator, I guess I could retake the position, but I was thinking you could hold onto the position until the 15th.
- Finally, ever consider archiving your talk page? It's getting really long. Lol, TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 20:29, 7 October 2012 (UTC)
- Well, I'd appreciate if you'd retake your position ;) "What a Difference a Day Makes" was great; it's clearly one of the best GA episodes! The seventh's premiere, "With You I'm Born Again", was also good. There should be stuff on Grey Matter for both episodes so I don't know which one you should choose but I do remember WADADM is one of your favorite episodes :) You could also opt for the massive shooting. Hmm I was thinking of archiving a part of it during the summer but when I read there were different ways of doing it and I didn't know which one I wanted to do (because I didn't want it to be automatically archived), I started erasing some messages lol. --Sofffie7 (talk) 20:53, 7 October 2012 (UTC)
- No problem; I'll retake it. Don't forget to change your userbox. I'd like to do WADADM, but I haven't been able to find many sources. A season 6 episode would be good, so I could add it to the good topic, but the shooting episode seems too complicated to take to featured. Hmm. As for archiving, you could do it manually, like I do. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 20:59, 7 October 2012 (UTC)
- You mean sources for reception? I don't think it will help you a lot but I kept 2 links of lists featuring the dress, an InStyle list, which mentions the designer and an EW list, in case WADADM would be created. It's better than nothing ^^ Cristina's dress also appears on the Instyle list. Or you could start "Now or Never" because any finale is an interesting subject and it appears that none of the season 5 episodes has a separate articles, but again reviews may not be easy to find =S I'll archive my talk page sometime this week. --Sofffie7 (talk) 21:24, 7 October 2012 (UTC)
- The lists are a good addition. It's not really sourcing I'm worried about, it's the article. I'm very picky when developing an episode to FA. I want an episode that is uncreated, or that I created, so I can receive a four award, that aired when TV by the Numbers was around. I am thinking something from S6 would be good. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 21:43, 7 October 2012 (UTC)
- I read the first rule to get a four award is to create/start an article; is there a difference between create and start one lol? Because what existed before WADADM got redirected was nothing. Can't the article qualify? If it can then I don't understand the problem. If it cannot then why did you have it in mind? --Sofffie7 (talk) 23:41, 7 October 2012 (UTC)
- I'm not entirely certain on the exact rules. I wasn't thinking of the four award when it came to mind. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 00:11, 8 October 2012 (UTC)

April Kepner
[edit]I think I am about done with it...for now...The character hasn't been given much scope really, neither did the actress's work so it was a pain to find references...But I'd like you to take a look at the article and maybe we can try to promote it to a GA. although I am worried about the debate taking place in the talk page (regarding her specialty) coming in the way of achieving that.--Meryam90 (talk) 18:31, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) Also, please wait for me, because I have some work to do for it; it is not currently in GA shape. As for the talk page discussion, I think Ace needs to realize the consensus. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 20:23, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
- LOL no I am not rushing to get to a GA..no worries. I was even thinking that we should wait till Jan/Feb...During midseason break? Maybe by then, there could be more to write about her...--Meryam90 (talk) 20:41, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
- No, there's no need to wait for midseason; the sections are comprehensive enough for GA as is—you did a great job! There's just stylistic issues to be taken care of. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 20:55, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks. and Ok then, just the issue of the attending is what I was referring to...by then the show would probably give a hint/ clarification of what attending "status" she's got...but if we manage to wrap up that issue before, then all good. --Meryam90 (talk) 21:06, 28 October 2012 (UTC)
- I've not read the article carefully but I think it's a bit redundant to have the line by Carina McKenzie describing April's crush on Derek as vomit and her acting as a 12-year-old in both characterization and reception. Otherwise, I think the article is now in pretty good shape; maybe not a GA yet but it's far from being bad ;-) --Sofffie7 (talk) 21:49, 28 October 2012 (UTC)

I'll check later if there's a new version but I usually receive the notification and then I have to install it right away so that's a bit strange. How's the election day going? ;) I think it's really exciting; can't wait to see the results! Did you see the video of the little girl tired of 'Bronco Bamma' and Mitt Romney? I can't imagine how it is to hear about the election all day everywhere you go; it must be exhausting. And did you see the 'Obamaphone lady' video? Very funny ^^ --Sofffie7 (talk) 19:34, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
- Let me know if the Twinkle issue resolves. I woke up early to vote, expecting no line – I was so wrong! I waited an hour to vote (for Romney, if you were wondering lol), and I haven't gone out the rest of the day. Obama's probably gonna win, in my opinion. No, I didn't see the videos, but I'll look them up now. :-) TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 19:42, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
- Well, it is fixed :) I'm relieved, I thought I did something wrong. Did you find the videos otherwise I can give you the Youtube links ;) Yeah I was wondering who you had voted for but I didn't think you'd tell me so I didn't ask hehe. I think I'll stay up for the first results :) I personally don't know much about their programs, but if I were an American citizen I'd vote Republican because of their values. I actually wonder why so many Hollywood celebrities support Obama. --Sofffie7 (talk) 20:19, 6 November 2012 (UTC) Edited Sofffie7 (talk) 01:24, 7 November 2012 (UTC)

[edit]Hi, thanks for adding all those cover versions to the article. For future reference when citing references in an article detailing a British anything you use Day-Month-Year. Thanks again always wanted to add cover versions just didn't get to it. AdabowtheSecond 02:51, 18 November 2012 (UTC)
- Hey, you're welcome :) Yeah, I remembered only later that it was a British article and that I had used the wrong date format but I figured someone else would fix it hehehe. Since you're a fan of the band, you should check those covers; some are really good! :) --Sofffie7 (talk) 10:59, 18 November 2012 (UTC)
- I have seen most of them the Piano Guys's version is really amazing. Did you know that Josh Groban covered the song at the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards? Maybe you would like to add his one too? :) AdabowtheSecond 14:28, 19 November 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah Piano Guys' version is simply awesome! No, I didn't know that Josh Groban had covered it! I've just listened to it and it's pretty funny haha. I've added it to the section but if you find other notable covers, feel free to add them too ;) --Sofffie7 (talk) 16:40, 19 November 2012 (UTC)
- With Groban I could not find a reliable source but you did so great! I remember others vaguely but will do. AdabowtheSecond 19:00, 19 November 2012 (UTC)

Grey's Anatomy, season 9, episode 7: "I Was Made For Lovin' You"
[edit]Oh my God, did you see tonight's episode yet? The ending was killer shocking! TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 04:10, 30 November 2012 (UTC)
- Hey! I'm so happy Mer is pregnant! I even shed a tear when she announced it to Derek ;) I mentioned it back in September (remember?) but you said it couldn't happen haha. With Shonda, anything is possible! As for Cristina, I really hoped she would tell Owen she still loves him and wants to stay married but she didn't say anything while she says she changed (I wonder if now she would be ready to have a baby) and that was disappointing. I understand how he came to think about divorce because she never showed any sign that there was a possibility of them reconciling and because of the lawsuit... Hopefully, this storyline is soon over (either they stay together or they divorce for good); it's getting too long! --Sofffie7 (talk) 11:16, 2 December 2012 (UTC)
Checking in
[edit]Hey, how's it going? I literally have no time to edit anymore; my most recent good article was way back in September. I miss the days where I could spend hours developing articles to featured status; I'm looking forward to the summer, because that's the time when I can get the most done! As for Grey's Anatomy, I'm sad to see the ratings so low this season. At this point, it's averaging a 3.4. At this point last year, (before the midseason finale), it was averaging a 3.6. I guess a yearly decline is expected, and in all honesty, a decrease of -0.2 isn't all that bad. I do fear, however, that the show may never crack a 4.0 again; the ratings this season were 4.4, 3.8, 3.4, 3.0, 3.3, 3.2, 3.1, 3.0; it hasn't gone near a 4.0 in six weeks. :/ Also, the midseason finale and winter premiere last year got a 4.1 and 4.5, respectively, which I doubt is happening this year. - Hi Joey! I'm doing ok :) I wanted to send you a message a few days ago but I completely forgot lol. I neglected the project quite a bit because I like to edit different kinds of articles and it's hard for me to stay focused on one thing; sorry =S I used the time I had left to mostly edit Christmas music-related articles and awards sections from recent or last year's films due to this time of the year. Unfortunately, I have exams coming up in the middle of January so I'll soon have to restrict my time on Wikipedia. Before I do so, I would like to write the article about the series finale of Gossip Girl next week ;)
- What were your impressions about the seventh episode? In any case, last week's episode was boring; too much focus on the interns and nothing happened for the main characters. What is your opinion concerning the Cristina-Owen storyline? I think it has been going on for far too long. I did not pay attention to the ratings but as you said, a yearly decrease is to be expected. Also, I think the departures of Dane and Leigh and the not-so good stories played a role.
- About WP:Grey's: Coming back to a previous matter, I think creating an article on every episode of Grey's Anatomy's current season is not possible because not all of them have had/will have media coverage; only the first two and maybe the mid-season finale. As for the characters, as you know I worked in September on Burke but I don't know what to add more. I haven't been searching for information since then but I remember it was hard to find stuff... How's the situation going with Kepner's article? I understand you're busy but are you going to send a newsletter any time soon? Since Sept 10, 'a lot' has happened: several articles have been recognized by different status and we welcomed one new member... --Sofffie7 (talk) 23:23, 13 December 2012 (UTC)
- I thought the seventh episode was boring, and it deserved the season low rating. I am lukewarm to the interns at best, so an episode focused around them really wasn't my style. I actually considered shutting the show off when I realized there would be no big storylines on the main characters. ABC is bad at making promos, because they always try to make comedic previews for Grey's Anatomy, when they should be making dramatic ones – viewers tune in for the drama.

- Overall, I'm not a big fan of season nine so far, and it seems like a filler season (sort of like season seven). My order of seasons from favorite to least-favorite is: two, one, three, five, four, eight, six, seven, nine. Hopefully nine will eventually get better, and be bumped up a slot for me. I didn't watch last night's episode with Bailey's wedding yet, but I heard it was good. Season eight just had so much good drama: Henry's death, the Cristina/Owen storyline, and then the plane crash! The only good drama we've had this season originates from season eight storylines. As for Cristina/Owen, I agree that the storyline is being stretched too much – it was good drama last year.
- Oh, I dropped the idea of creating all the season nine episodes a while ago, simply because WP:Grey's' three most avid members (me, you, and Jonathan) don't have the time. I could probably push Kepner to GA easily, I just haven't had the time. I'm getting some time off of med school soon, so I'll try to get it done then. I guess I'll whip up a newsletter at the end of December. By the way, Grey's got a 3.1 last night, up marginally from last week's season low 3.0, but down 24% from last year's midseason finale. Scandal continues to rise, and it got a series high 2.7 last night! Imagine if Scandal starts beating Grey's. Update: Ugh, Grey's was adjusted down to a 2.9 in the finals, and Scandal was adjusted down to a 2.4. Grey's also received a series low in viewership (8.2 million). Grey's is dying:-/
- Update: I just watched last night's episode, and I am in complete shock. It was absolutely phenomenal. It was probably the best episode I've seen in years. Every element of the episode reminded me of the season three finale in which Burke and Yang were supposed to get married, and oh my God, I'm just so impressed. The drama was perfect, the acting was spot on, and something about it made me feel like I was watching an episode fresh out of the season two or three queue. It was probably the best episode I've seen since the season five finale, and the most classic-like episode I've seen since the season three finale. And the ending was just killer – I feel like if ABC would've promoted this more, the ratings could have soared. "Run, Baby, Run" outdid the stellar season eight finale & midseason finale, the musical episode, and even the season six finale. Now the episodes that I said it outperformed were certainly more drama-packed than last night's episode, but last night's drama was real and it was the kind of realistic drama that existed in the show's glory days. The acting was great too, and the only thing I disliked about the episode was the intern scenes, but luckily there were few. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 16:39, 14 December 2012 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. I use it to place them in the century they were active in. I use the logic of someone born in 1988, but didn't start acting until 2012. They can't be in the 20th-century category, as they weren't acting at that point. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 14:12, 12 February 2013 (UTC)

- You're welcome :) I started with removing some actresses from "Actors from California" and put them in the new category and then I thought I'd do the whole category but it takes more time than I thought lol... I'm now finished with the letter O. --Sofffie7 (talk) 20:52, 21 February 2013 (UTC)
- I did that for a few states like Utah and Michigan, but they have much smaller cats than California, especially for actors.John Pack Lambert (talk) 22:26, 21 February 2013 (UTC)
Actors by century cats
[edit]In theory with Category:19th-century American actors and Category:19th-century American actresses we can remove those people from Category:American stage actors which considering the category has over 3000 entries is a good thing. Considering how large the actors by century categories are, at least for the 20th and 21st centuries, dividing them by nationality makes sense. If you really don't think it is needed you are welcome to start a CfD to propose upmerging. Of course there are those who think we should just not categorize post-1900 actors by century at all, and they might come out of the wood-work and try to get their way at the CfD, so I actually would hold off. The further we get into the 21st-century, the more people fit Category:21st-century actors and its subcats without fitting in the 20th-century system, and the stronger the argument is that have both makes sense. The arguments to get rid of them loose pwoer each day, so in many ways you are better off delaying the start of a CfD on the matter.John Pack Lambert (talk) 18:29, 27 February 2013 (UTC)

I'm okay...
[edit]Hey Sophie! How are you?
I realize I haven't been on Wikipedia in over 2 months now. I've been very busy, so I don't really have any time to edit or do anything for WP:SGH. I haven't even looked at any of the project articles because I'm too scared to see if they've become demolished. Hopefully not! :-)
Anyways, I can still pop in to chat every now and then. What are your thoughts on Grey's recently? I like the idea of Grey Sloan Memorial, but it feels weird that the hospital won't be Seattle Grace anymore. Also, I don't like that Jackson is in charge; it really annoys me. Have you been following the ratings? Grey's registered a series low last week (2.6 A18-49). It's sad how far the show has fallen from its hefty 4.4 season 9 premiere. :-( But fellow Shonda & Co. drama Scandal has been on the upswing lately, with its most recent outing pulling a big (for 10pm) 2.7! I hope Grey's rebounds tonight.
Update: Grey's rebounded great last night, pulling a 3.0, and well over 9 million viewers! The best part is that it beat an original episode of American Idol for the first time since 2007 and registered as Thursday's #1 show for the first time in ages. Great night for Grey's. :-)
In other news, a recent article has stated that the Grey's season finale will not be major, which is disappointing, since nothing major has really happened this season. It reminds me of season 7. The finale is also not going to be 2 hours, something I expected it to be. I mean, come on, neither the season 9 premiere nor the season 8 finale were 2 hours, so I expected a 2 hour season 9 finale! Remember how in seasons 5 and 6 both the premieres and finales were 2 hours long?
In regard to Wikipedia, luckily summer is near so I'll be able to get back to my voracious editing which I've missed oh so dearly. I would like to top my summer 2012 achievements this year and maybe whip up several pieces of featured content. When I return to normal editing, however, I'd like to start by tidying up all the existing quality articles. As for now, I'm in the process of writing messages to you, Tate, and Jonathan because I miss chatting and collaborating with you guys! I hope to hear back from you soon!
Edit: Did you see the Army Wives premiere? I thought it was devastating, even though I already knew what would happen.
Best Wishes, TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 02:29, 22 March 2013 (UTC)
- Hey, I'm good. I haven't been following GA's ratings recently because it's certain to be renewed. In fact, I'm not very interested in ratings at all lol. I didn't know that the upcoming season finale won't be major but I think it's logic in a way: last year was a lot to diggest so Shonda doesn't want to do tragic again. But I know she could do something big without it being tragic. They could have done a 2-hour finale last year but this year, if nothing big happens, it's maybe not necessary to do one. I like the new name of the hospital too, it's a good idea! :) I wonder if Mer will give birth in the finale or earlier. I also hate that Jackson is the boss. Did you see that the new GA characters have official Twitter accounts? I'm not on Twitter but I saw the announcement on fb. On April's account it is confirmed that she's an attending trauma surgeon but the actress said she still hasn't passed her boards, how is that possible?
- Yeah I saw the Army Wives premiere... The episode was ok but not as emotional as I expected; maybe because I knew CJ would die. I only cried when the core group was gathered to spread her ashes, which happened in the second episode if I remember well lol. I loved that Pamela and Roxy came back but it's too bad that it was only temporary. What did you think of the introduction of the new characters? I'm starting to like Maggie (Torrey DeVitto) =)
- Are you so busy that you can't even make a few edits from time to time (just askin') or you'll really have to wait until summer? I haven't been editing a lot this month but in February I worked on categories. It's a new thing I like to do. --Sofffie7 (talk) 14:44, 24 March 2013 (UTC)
- Glad to hear you're good. Yes, Grey's is luckily certain to be renewed for next year, but I'm not sure about after season 10. We know the main contracts only go through season 10, but Shonda hinted on Twitter that the show may continue on after that. I was never interested in ratings until this year; it's fun to check the ratings website Friday mornings to see how Grey's did. I'm hoping for the finale to at least be interesting. Remember how the season 8 premiere was 2 hours? That was good and nothing really major happened. I saw the characters on Twitter – too funny lol!
- As for April, there's no logic in how she's a trauma surgeon, but then again, Grey's has done things like this before. I recall in the season 9 premiere when they were doing flashbacks to Mark, a video played of Calzona's wedding and it said '2009'! That doesn't make sense because in season 5, Izzie said it was 2009 when she woke up after brain surgery. The Calzona wedding was in 2011 (season 7)! When someone confronted Shonda about this on Twitter she said Grey's time is different. But they obviously just made a mistake because there's no way all the events between Izzie's brain surgery and Calzona's wedding all took place in one year! Also, the premiere said it was currently 2012, so that would mean all the events between Calzona's wedding and the plane crash happened across three years; no way!
- I didn't really like any of the new characters, but I'm sure they'll grow on me. So is this likely the final season? I mean it was barely renewed for this year. I can pop in to make minor edits every now and then, but I don't think I'll be able to heavily work on an article until summer. TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 15:08, 24 March 2013 (UTC)

Question
[edit]Hi, please don't take this as a challenge, it's just curiosity on my part. I noticed in your recent edit here -> [1] that you removed a film from the filmography table that was listed as being in "pre-production". Is it your intention to remove all films from all tables you come across that are denoted as being pre-prod? I ask because I've seen many films listed as such and from time-to-time I create and edit filmography tables. Is this a new standard for WP? (I don't want to waste time making unnecessary additions and edits) Thanks and have a nice day! (I will look for your reply here) - thewolfchild 17:27, 14 July 2013 (UTC)
- Just noticed this. I don't know about Soffie7, but I certainly routinely remove future material from discographies and filmographies. If it hasn't been released, there's no reason for it to be in the table.—Kww(talk) 18:20, 14 July 2013 (UTC)
- Hi Twewolfchild, yes when I see a film that hasn't started production I usually remove it from filmographies, per WP:NFF WP:CRYSTAL. A film should only be listed when it's a certain thing because sometimes a project doesn't take off or gets delayed. But unlike Kww I don't regularly check an actor's filmography, so you won't see many edits of that kind in my contribs. Cheers, --Sofffie7 (talk) 20:00, 14 July 2013 (UTC)
- Soffie and KW, thanks for the replies. I myself have no issue with the removal of these in general, but there are times I would like to see exceptions, just as the "WP:_" articles you cited allow for. If certain films (ie: Bond, Bourne, Marvel, Star Wars sequels, etc, as well as highly anticipated films and certain blockbusters) are widely documented as being well into pre-production (but before principal photography), would you allow these items to be included in various filmography tables? (as long as their reliably cited, of course). Lemme know. Thanks. - thewolfchild 21:54, 14 July 2013 (UTC)

RE: Demi Lovato
[edit]Hey there! After I saw your message, I went to take a look at the page, which looked pretty good, until I reached the newly-merged concert sections. That is a big issue that needs to be addressed. Part of me wants to merge that content into the original Life and career heading, but then again I don't want to just merged unsourced content with an otherwise GA-quality article. So, long story short, I think that after appropriate references are found, the concert stuff can be trimmed and blended with the other headings and we'll be good to go again! - Hi Sofffie7, I'm nominating the article for deletion because a Vietnam-based vandal keeps recreating it over the redirect to perpetuate a hoax about a 2015 Beauty and the Beast animated series. My feeling was that if it were deleted, I could recreate the redirect, and at least the user wouldn't be able to copy/paste from a previous version. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:47, 31 July 2014 (UTC)

Up to this point there hasn't been a direct response as to which spelling was correct. Nicki Minaj herself clarified the question directly stating it was written, "The Pinkprint", (https://twitter.com/NICKIMINAJ/status/497117375712329728). And further publications have now labelled it correctly including Rolling Stone and Spin. Leave either your support or opposition for the move here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:The_Pink_Print#Requested_move_06_August_2014. DYK nomination for "Shake It Off"
[edit]Hello, Sofffie7. First, greetings! Second, I have recently noted your significant edits on Shake It Off (Taylor Swift song). I just loveee the song and thus I'll make this to GA, perhaps. But you are the creator of the article, perhaps we could nominate it as a WP:DYK article. How do you think? Cheers, Simon (talk) 13:39, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
- Hi HĐ! Yeah it would be great if we could nominate the article at DYK. :) Do you have a hook already in mind? --Sofffie7 (talk) 15:15, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
- A possible hook is "Did you know that Taylor Swift's single "Shake It Off" is dedicated to her haters?" Another possible one is "Did you know that Taylor Swift references to several celebrities, including Lady Gaga and Skrillex, in the music video for her single "Shake It Off"?" Simon (talk) 10:30, 20 August 2014 (UTC)
- Ok one of those should be fine ;) --Sofffie7 (talk) 10:47, 20 August 2014 (UTC)
- I've passed the DYK, kudos to you both :) Snuggums (talk / edits) 15:49, 20 August 2014 (UTC)

DYK for Shake It Off (Taylor Swift song)
[edit]On 24 August 2014, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Shake It Off (Taylor Swift song), which you recently created or substantially expanded. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, live views, daily totals), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Do you have reliable source for says "country pop"? I found only one this. 183.171.160.195 (talk) 00:52, 15 September 2014 (UTC)
- I don't know, I don't think I ever added a genre. Whether it's country pop or pop rock doesn't really matter to me ;) :p --Sofffie7 (talk) 12:52, 15 September 2014 (UTC)

What Do You Mean
[edit]My apologies for removing your additions to What Do You Mean. A complete accident during an edit conflict, my bad! Azealia911 talk 16:12, 28 August 2015 (UTC)
- Oh ok it's cool :) For a minute I was wondering if you thought that information was trivial. I admit the list was really big, so it's good you trimmed it but I think other peers such as Sheeran, Derulo and perhaps Jepsen are worth mentioning as well. :) --Sofffie7 (talk) 16:21, 28 August 2015 (UTC)
Hello, Sofffie7. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Same Old Love, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:
- edit the page
- remove the text that looks like this:
{{proposed deletion/dated...}}
- save the page
Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 20:00, 11 September 2015 (UTC)
- @Kudpung: Hey there, I actually do not have the time right to work much on wikipedia because uni has resumed. However, I think you went too far by nominating the article. The song will probably get more information in the coming days and will certainly chart next week. How about a redirect as I had done? --Sofffie7 (talk) 21:34, 11 September 2015 (UTC)
- Moral of the story: Do not edit Wikipedia or create articles if you do not have time to make articles or edits rhat conform to our policies and guidelines. The article as it stands does not comply. I'm rather surprised, because you apear to have successfully contributed to the GA status of several articles. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 21:47, 11 September 2015 (UTC)
- @Kudpung: I only wanted the song to have a better redirect than Same Old Love (song), which did not require the parenthesis. I did not know I was obliged to expand a redirect, lol. --Sofffie7 (talk) 11:23, 12 September 2015 (UTC)

Unifying date formats
[edit]I just wanted to let you know, I saw that at In the Name of Love (Martin Garrix and Bebe Rexha song), you recently performed an edit which you explained as unifying date formats. Normally that's fine, except that the date in the "date" parameter of the UK single chart template has to be kept as YYYY-MM-DD, otherwise it will not work. Please bear this in mind if you do this type of edit on other song articles, as the date parameter of the UK-related charts need to be kept in the YYYY-MM-DD format. Thanks. Ss112 17:08, 12 August 2016 (UTC)
- Oops sorry, I was not aware of that. I'll be more careful next time. =) --Sofffie7 (talk) 21:18, 13 August 2016 (UTC)

Long time no see
[edit]Hi Sophie,
It's Joey (TRLIJC19). How are you? I don't know if you remember me, but I logged onto Wikipedia for the first time in ages and I just wanted to reach out and see how you were. It's hard to believe that it's been about 5 years since our days of constant collaboration on WP:Grey's. I haven't really edited since then, aside from minor things on old FAs. It's a shame that the main Grey's Anatomy article has become quite messy over the years; it was almost ready for FA back in 2012! Anyway, I finally graduated from med school and I am nearing the end of my residency. I have a fellowship lined up, so things are going well. I really do miss the Wikipedia days–we had so much fun working together back in the day! Maybe I'll come back in a few years when I'm done with all my schooling and life becomes less hectic, but until then, I wish you the very best in whatever you are doing these days, and I would love to hear back from you soon.
All the best, Joey TRLIJC19 (talk • contribs) 07:31, 16 January 2017 (UTC)
- @TRLIJC19: Hey there! It's been a very long time indeed! I hadn't realized so much time had passed... It's nice to know you haven't forgotten Wikipedia and also what you've been up to ;-) In 2016 and 2015 I was mostly active during the summer, and since then I haven't had much time to edit on Wikipedia either. I am currently finishing my thesis and I hope to graduate this year. --Sofffie7 (talk) 11:25, 18 May 2017 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Parenthood Volume 1.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Parenthood Volume 1.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 02:06, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
