- Hi Thanks thanks for putting this up but actually the way Wikipedia has spelled the surname is wrong and several information is wrong, I can provides the sources if you need but I don’t understand properly to link it on Wikipedia, hope you can help me out this right Imeshwijewardana (talk) 09:58, 16 June 2024 (UTC)
- The spelling of the surname needs to follow the article title and the article title needs to follow the spelling most commonly used in reliable sources. Having looked at the sources in the article they all spell it Wijewardena which isn't the spelling you used.
- I can help with adding links but you need to provide the content. Most of what you added was a repetition of information that was already mentioned in the article. And any content you add must be in your words, not copied from elsewhere. Please also note that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a tribute site for dead relatives.--Obi2canibe (talk) 11:43, 16 June 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, it is a common mistake to use e where a is supposed to be used and the topic even goes further to add an h to it if you need I can share the National ID card or passport and or death certificate as in Sri Lankan name the way the spell are different from blood line to family origin Imeshwijewardana (talk) 11:46, 16 June 2024 (UTC)
- It doesn't matter how official sources such ID cards spell the name, what matters is the spelling most commonly used in reliable sources. If you are not denying that you are related to the subject of the article, then my original notice applies - you shouldn't be editing the article.--Obi2canibe (talk) 18:44, 18 June 2024 (UTC)
