"Mossungo Bittolo"??
[edit]I have never in my entire life heard of such a thing. This article is the earliest mention of such a name on the internet, as you can see here. Much of the rest of the information in the history section also first appeared on the internet here, but some of it is actually valid. However, suitable sources must be found. Moved. See a rough general agreement that this article should be renamed, and it does appear to be the PTOPIC of "Moçâmedes". The dab page will be moved to Moçâmedes (disambiguation), and this request is then granted. Have a Great Day and Happy Publishing! Namibe → Moçâmedes – The city changed its name from Namibe to Moçâmedes in 2016 Trinaliv (talk) 11:53, 3 June 2018 (UTC)--Relisting. –Ammarpad (talk) 02:44, 14 June 2018 (UTC)
- Target is a disambiguation page, including the name of the province that the city is in. Dekimasuよ! 20:56, 5 June 2018 (UTC)
- In that case, it is necessary to rename this page to Moçâmedes, Angola. The disambiguation page must be adapted to read: "Moçâmedes, Angola, a city in southwestern Angola . Trinaliv (talk) 07:44, 8 June 2018 (UTC)
- Comment: News sources seem to use both names (or Moçâmedes City).[1][2][3][4][5] Given the lack of consistency in the sources, if we have confirmation that the city's name has indeed changed, I'd support a move to Moçâmedes, Angola in the spirit of WP:IDENTITY, which says, "If it isn't clear which is most used, use the term that the person or group uses".--Cúchullain t/c 14:13, 12 June 2018 (UTC)
- Comment: The media still uses both names, and Google Maps hasn't been updated either. But this article from ANGOP, the national press angency, confirms the official change: [6]. Also, both the Portuguese and the German articles have been renamed. Trinaliv (talk) 17:33, 13 June 2018 (UTC)

- Support as proposed, i.e. move Moçâmedes→Moçâmedes (disambiguation). Other things on the dab page are WP:PTM, and the city is apparently the primary topic in the mix. Even now we have the city happily sitting at Namibe and the province at Namibe Province. I must say hate our setups where users are forcibly landed to a dab page containing a city, its province, its airport, its river and its stadium – if I searched for bare "Foo" I probably mean it.
