Game summaries and tables

[edit]

I may absorb the "Winnings" table into the "Match summaries" table for clearer representation. Kindagoodplayer (talk) 14:44, 8 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Been thinking about how to do this, can't think of an easy way. Any ideas on how I can combine the two to be clear? Kindagoodplayer (talk) 14:49, 8 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not seeing how "Winnings" would work with "Match summaries", but perhaps "Episodes" could be combined with "Match summaries" (by adding ratings to Match summaries)? ( Done [1]) I'm wondering if it might be good to mimic the leaderboard table (including tiebreaking information) from here, but this article is already pretty table-heavy. Yeah that's much better, looks nice! Kindagoodplayer (talk) 17:20, 10 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Game results are difficult to parse

[edit]

Looking at the episode guide, it is a bit difficult to see who wins (with only the bold) and there are no hints for who came in second. Because of the template for the episode guide, you cannot edit the background colour of the cells.

Might it make sense to split the game results out, so the winners can have a gold background and the second-place have a silvery background?

Andrea Shubert (talk) 13:29, 17 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I actually combined separate results and episode guide tables per the discussion above, because there was so much duplicate information. I was also trying to reduce the number of tables in this article. I agree that a colored background would be nice, but thought the standardization of the {{episode table}} was worth losing it. Personally, I don't think it's too hard to decipher the results, and fear a table full of multi-colored cells may push WP:COLOUR guidelines. Would summarized results in the |ShortSummary parameter work? (Although I think that makes the table less compact.) Hoof Hearted (talk) 14:35, 17 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Rather than "Contestant 1", 2 and 3 in the table heading, what about "Winner", "Second Place", "Third Place"? Is it important to know what order they stood on the stage? Hoof Hearted (talk) 17:40, 17 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
