Reddit Ama source?

I thought it would be better if i just asked this here instead of going ahead and adding it to the article. Armada did a reddit ama where he answered questions for users. Is this usable as a source? For example, his response here:http://www.reddit.com/r/smashbros/comments/19eb0u/im_armada_the_retired_champion_ask_me_anything/c8ne4cs?context=3 confirms the un-cited claim he has 10 siblings. Adam Lindgren → Armada (video gamer) – Revert to old name due to WP:RECOGNIZABILITY. Most of the sources refer to him as Armada, so his real name is obscure and does not satisfy WP:NATURAL. 9³ (talk) 21:48, 17 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose - Real name provides WP:NATURALDISAMBIG, and video game handles rarely rise to the level of WP:STAGENAME. WP:RECOGNIZABILITY is just one of the 5 WP:CRITERIA - his real name provides precision, conciseness, and consistent with other sportspersons (Shaquille O'Neal, not "Shaq", William Perry not Refrigerator Perry, etc.). WP:NATURAL in this case is the least important, since the proposed destination is already a redirect to aid searchers and editors. Moving would also be inconsistent considering that several teammates are linked in the lead paragraph and are titled using their real names. -- Netoholic @ 10:01, 18 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
- There is no need for consistency because, in the justification for a similar no move, each player should "be discussed vis-à-vis their sources individually." And per WP:NICKNAME, "The name used most often to refer to a person in reliable sources is generally the one that should be used as the article title, even if it is not their "real" name." He is never referred to as simply "Adam Lindgren" without mention of his nickname.

And as for "video game handles rarely rise to the level of WP:STAGENAME", the frequency of handles at Category:American eSports players and others at Category:ESports players by nationality does not seem to be "rare". 9³ (talk) 23:37, 19 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

References

A lot of the references in this article need to be cleaned up. Many details on Armada's careers (e.g. tournaments won in particular years) are unsourced, and some details unnecessarily rely on primary sources. I have marked some of the mistakes I have noticed, and when I have time I will try to fix them as I see them. Derek M (talk) 02:18, 3 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
