About this page Use this page to request the committee open an arbitration case. To be accepted, an arbitration request needs 4 net votes to "accept" (or a majority). Arbitration is a last resort. WP:DR lists the other, escalating processes that should be used before arbitration. The committee will decline premature requests. Requests may be referred to as "case requests" or "RFARs"; once opened, they become "cases". Before requesting arbitration, read the arbitration guide to case requests. Then click the button below. Complete the instructions quickly; requests incomplete for over an hour may be removed. Consider preparing the request in your userspace. To request enforcement of an existing arbitration ruling, see Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Enforcement. To clarify or change an existing arbitration ruling, see Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Clarification and Amendment. Guidance on participation and word limits Unlike many venues on Wikipedia, ArbCom imposes word limits. Please observe the below notes on complying with word limits.

Interesting "interpretation" of Wikipedia's rules by a supposedly experienced editor.

They tried to:
(1) impersonate a Wikipedia administrator
(2) seem to follow my every edit
(3) went through all my edits trying to find "dirt" on me and then made some comments how my other edits supposedly "break rules" without pointing anything. It looks like some sort of a slander / intimidation tactics. I believe they are “fishing” an actual, real administrator to try to warn me somehow. It is very difficult to assume they did this in good faith
How did this all start? I wanted to edit the pages related to the physical proximity of Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention ( 中国疾病预防控制中心 ) and Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market ( 武汉华南海鲜批发市场 ), which according to some sources are 300 yards from each other and according to Google Maps few minutes walk. In my opinion the proximity of those two buildings is a fact that should be added to relevant articles, especially as this can be verified by simply looking on a map. Since I was not sure what is the best way to add this information I commented on a talk page.
However user Shibbolethink seems to be very dedicated to keep this fact out from Wikipedia, consequently they even tried to intimidate me by impersonating an administrator. Evidence here: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk%3ACambr5&type=revision&diff=1042743554&oldid=1042741607
Then they tried to add “dirt” on me, by some strange tactics:
In my opinion this shows that (1) there is something very wrong with their integrity of Shibbolethink as an editor – they believe they can impersonate an administrator (2) bias in the topic that they are editing
It seems that user Shibbolethink has certain rights (e.g. rollback) and probably they believe that thanks to them they can bully and intimidate and bully other users, just because those other users want to add information to Wikipedia. They seem to go at any length: fake warnings to act like an administrator (which they are not), going through post history, slander.
Shouldn’t users with special privileges be kept to certain standards?
Since I believe that impersonating administrators is a big breach of Wikipedia standards, I decided to make a complaint to the Arbitration Committee. I know that special rights on Wikipedia are reviewed periodically and in the future, it should be know that this user's actions should be remembered before an extension, or granting anything more. They showed lack of character and (in my opinion) make Wikipedia a hostile place. It is difficult to judge if someone is biased, but much easier to judge actions (impersonating an administrator).
Since arbitration is supposed to serve Wikipedia for the future, perhaps better scrutiny can be put on user Shibbolethink. Should they be granted or extended special rights in the future? For a user that supposedly knows the rules so well, they seem to break them, when it fits their agenda. Cambr5 (talk) 16:33, 12 September 2021 (UTC)
