Deletion discussion about Nuzuhath Shuaib

Hello, ShappeAli,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Nuzuhath Shuaib should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Nuzuhath Shuaib .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks,

A tag has been placed on Draft:Ravee Farooq requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

unnecessary redirect, no incoming links

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. ArbCom 2018 election voter message

Hello, ShappeAli. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked for sockpuppetry

  • If you appeal this you need to explain why you setup an alternative account and whether the flickr images were free to use, and make a commitment to only use one account in future, regards Atlantic306 (talk) 23:19, 12 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
    • Dear Atlantic306, it is kind of embarrassing to say I am not fully aware of the Wikipedia rules. I initially uploaded the images from my account and it get deleted. So I used my friend's account who is the photographer for a local news magazine. The images provided in flickr are free to use since they upload the event images to flickr separately for each category. I am sorry I will not be using the aforementioned account henceforth and I promise to use this account only in the future. ShappeAli (talk) 03:56, 14 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

It is with great humiliation, I mention to you that I am not fully aware of the Wikipedia rules and never heard of sock puppetry. I am only associated with Maldivian Entertainment pages where I am trying to expand the coverage of Maldivian entertainment industry in Wikipedia. I initially uploaded the images from my account and it get deleted. So, with his permission I used my friend's account (Hassan Naaim) who is a photographer for local news magazines. He has served as a photographer for Avas, Sun, Mihaaru, Udhares and many more. Here, it works more like a contract profession. The images provided in flickr are free to use since they upload the event images to flickr separately for each category. I am sorry I will not be using the aforementioned account henceforth and I promise to use this account only in the future. In regards to Mohamed Azyan's account, he is my cousin brother and he uploaded a photo of a local celebrity which he himself took and he had to mail to prove the authenticity but he didnt, since none of us knew how to proceed with it, hence it was deleted after a specific duration. His account was created to upload that photo only since he is the copyright owner in that case. I once again apologize for using these accounts but none is used for a bad motive. Hope this explains my case and you could uplift the ban. Thank you. ShappeAli (talk) 04:13, 14 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Procedural decline only. This unblock request has been open for more than two weeks but has not proven sufficiently convincing for any reviewing administrator to take action. You are welcome to request a new block review if you substantially reword your request. Yamla (talk) 13:41, 6 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

  • Dear Bbb23, kindly please consider this appeal. If this account cannot be unblocked, can you please guide me on the procedure I have to follow if I wish to edit Wikipedia pages. ShappeAli (talk) 04:07, 15 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Can any admin kindly attend to my appeal please? I have been checking my talk page daily for an update but it seems no response from any admin yet. As mentioned earlier, I promise this will never happen in the future and no account will ever be associated with mine hereafter. Hoping for a quick response. ShappeAli (talk) 05:56, 20 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
    • Hi, am a bit concerned about the reliability of the editor who made the accusations of copyvio, Roy 17, as if you see his commons talkpage here he has had numerous files of his own deleted as copyviolations and recently he's been running an unauthorised bot. I asked questions at the commons deletion page here of the images asking for detailed evidence but was ignored by Roy17, regards Atlantic306 (talk) 22:34, 30 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

This is my second request and I hope one of the admins find this appeal convincing enough for an unblock consideration (though I basically have to say the same thing again). I admit I was not fully aware of the Wikipedia rules including the use of multiple accounts. I admit using two accounts; * Hassan Naaim: He is a friend of mine and a local photographer. We created the account only to upload the photos he captured during party and events to be included in the Wikipedia articles since he is the copyright owner. * Mohamed Azyan: He is the younger brother of mine and this account is created to upload a photo he captured from his camera. After uploading, Wikipedia Commons requested to send an email or something to confirm he is the copyright owner and we were ignorant enough to mail back hence the image was deleted due to no response. Any admin can check the history of these two accounts and I assure you that these two accounts were used solely for this purpose; to upload their own images. I guarantee you that none of these accounts was used for a bad motive. And I assure you once again, if I am unblocked, I will never use any account other than this. Its been nearly a month (or less) after the block and I have refrained from any further interactions and block evasion. Hope the admins are kind enough to positively respond to this appeal and grant me a second chance. Cheers. ShappeAli (talk) 18:31, 6 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Yamla: Hello, since the block is involved with Wikipedia Commons, I don't mind you revoking my rights on Wikipedia Commons but it would be highly appreciable if you could lift the block in here. I assure you that I would be contributing to Wikipedia in good faith only. If the appeal above is still not convincing, please be kind enough to ask me any question, I would happily provide all the required details. I have been checking my talk page daily for an update. Hoping to hear from you soon.ShappeAli (talk) 04:27, 7 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hello again. It has been a month since my last unblock request. Can any admin kindly please review this case. I am okay to refrain from accessing to wikipedia commons if the reviewing admin requests so. I promise I will never get involved in any form of sock-puppetry and I promise to follow Wikipedia rules. If it is still not convincing enough for an unblock, I am willing to answer your questions in regards to this matter. Hoping for a reply. ShappeAli (talk) 03:45, 8 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

My options for an unblock

Dear @Yamla: and @Bbb23:, I would like to know what my options are if I need an unblock. I have opened two unblock requests and both the appeals were declined since no reviewing administrator is willing to review them. From the very first appeal (two months back) I have promised never to break any Wikipedia rules henceforth, and I am still assuring that this block will not be necessary and no such action will ever be repeated from my side. Also, Atlantic306 has mentioned that he is willing to monitor my contributions. It is very obvious that if I opened a third appeal it would be of the same fate as the previous two, so I would like to know my options if I need an unblock or to convince administrators. I hope I get a reply for this one since all of my questions were ignored earlier. ShappeAli (talk) 03:38, 16 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I have been blocked from editing wikipedia four or five months ago for "violating the use of multiple accounts" which I was not aware during the time of block. As mentioned in the previous two appeals, I admit using two accounts; * Hassan Naaim Ahmed: He is a friend of mine and a local photographer. We created the account only to upload the photos he captured during party and events to be included in the Wikipedia articles since he is the copyright owner. * Mohamed Azyan: He is the younger brother of mine and this account is created to upload a photo he shot from his camera. I guarantee you that none of these accounts were used for a bad motive. And I assure you once again, if I am unblocked, I will never use any account other than this. Two of my previous appeal were declined since no reviewing administrator is willing to review them. I have been advised to wait until 6 months, but I am opening this appeal a month earlier if you could kindly provide me with a second chance. Thank you. ShappeAli (talk) 04:18, 21 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Confirmed sockpuppetry since you were blocked. This disqualifies you from WP:SO at this time. Yamla (talk) 13:07, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • One more thing I forgot to add. You were advised to wait six months. Contrary to your assertion in your unblock request, you have waited only a bit more than four.--Bbb23 (talk) 01:59, 22 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • True, I have been advised by TonyBallioni to wait six months from the initial block and I have mentioned the same in my unblock request. Also it has been noted that administrators do unblock CU block before 6 months though "rarely". Since I have never been involved in any form of vandalism before and never tried to evade my block, I was hoping that you (Bbb23 and other reviewing administrators) could lift my block. I still strongly deny any edits from any other accounts other than this account (ShappeAli) and any IP edits too, after being blocked. ShappeAli (talk) 02:39, 22 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@PhilKnight and TonyBallioni: would you mind offering a second opinion? The behavioural evidence does not seem to match, so could there be any doubt about the technical evidence? — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 21:38, 29 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • I've run a check and confirmed the user has engaged in sock puppetry since being blocked. PhilKnight (talk) 10:11, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Dear @PhilKnight:, From the very beginning, I did admit to my associations with two accounts (Ahmed Naaim Hassan and Mohamed Azyan) and I have explained my reasons too. But I deny my relationship with any other accounts after the block, since I have not even logged into any other account other than the primary one (ShappeAli) and never made an IP edit too. I was aware of the impact a block evasion can have on my block and I never intend to go that way since I was very eager to be unblocked. Every single thing I have said in my appeal is true and never have I lied to any administrator before and I never intend to do so. If there is any way I can prove this, I am willing to do so. I beg you once again, please reconsider your decision. ShappeAli (talk) 13:59, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • To answer the question raised by Atlantic306 which was soon deleted by Bbb23, I mainly use two devices for editing Wikipedia, one at home, and another at work. The device I use at home is a personal one and only I have the access to it, though at work we use a common network among staff. I work in an aviation related company with over 1000 employees. Will this have any impact on the confirmation made by Phil? If so, I dont mind sharing my personal/employment records with an administrator to convince him that I am not lying here. Unblock request

This user is asking that their block be reviewed:

ShappeAli (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I have been blocked from Wikipedia over a year ago for "abusing" multiple accounts. I have explained above in very details the exact reason for creating two accounts; only to upload the images by its copyright owner. Six months later when I appealed, I was accused of block evading and editing some articles regarding aviation industry, which I strongly refuse. To prove my innocence, I even offered to submit my employment records and related documents which indicate that I work in an aviation related industry, so it is possible anyone from my workplace to edit those articles using the same ip address. So here, I am trying once again hoping that I will be granted another chance by the administrators. I do admit the wrong from my side where I created two accounts to upload pictures and I promise to never break the Wikipedia rules, ever again. Hoping for a favorable reply.ShappeAli (talk) 07:09, 4 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
