Kofoworola Oladoyinbo Ojomo is the paramount Yoruba king of Ijebu, Owo in Ondo State, southwestern Nigeria. He ascended the thrown after he retired from the Nigerian Army with the rank of a General.[2]
Installation controversy
There was a controversy over his installation on June 13, 2004. Following his nomination by the king-makers as a qualified and preferred candidate for the thrown, Amaka who is also a candidate seek the order of the High Court to annulled his candidacy but was overruled by the court and Kofoworola was affirmed as the Ojomo Oluda.[3] Amaka wasn't satisfied with the Judgment and proceeded to the appellate court with the claim that the High Court is against the weight of evidence.[4]
