Nawazuddin Siddiqui (Hindi: नवाज़ुद्दीन सिद्दीक़ी, Urdu: نواز اُلدین صِدٌیقی, also known as Nowaz) is an Indian actor who has appeared in some of Bollywood's major films including, Black Friday, New York, Peepli Live, Kahani and Gangs of Wasseypur.[2] Nawazuddin made his Bollywood debut in 1999 with Sarfarosh.[3] In 2009, he appeared in a cameo song "emotional attyachar" in the movie Dev D in his moniker as Rangila along with his duo Rasila (known together as Patna ke Presley). He will be appearing in Aamir Khan's 2012 release, Talaash (2012 film). Siddiqui is a graduate of The National School of Drama (NSD), New Delhi, India. He worked in theatre for many years before moving to films.[4][5][6][7][8].He is from Budhana a small town of Muzaffarnagar district in Uttar Pradesh. [9] He however became a household name post Kahaani where he played the archetypal short tempered cop Khan. Paan Singh Tomar and Gangs of Wasseypur followed which furthered his fame. [10]
