Summary

Sundot Kulangot” “Picked booger”, “Coconut Candy Booger”, “Poke the Snot” is a coconut candy with a pinch of “Kalamay” or glutinous rice (stored inside the mini-coconut shells, or wood orbs, sealed with with the red paper held by bamboo sticks 9 inches in length made from brown sugar, glutinous rice and coconut - the specialty of Baguio City like the “matamis na bao” or coco jam, but made in Lingayen, Pangasinan. The small round containers or bao are made from the seeds of a native tree called bitaog or bitaoy (Calophyllum inophyllum tamanu, oil-nut, mastwood, beach calophyllum or beautyleaf), the halved seeds are then wrapped with red papel de hapon the shells are held together with bamboo sticks. Some use halved pitogo (Sago Palm of the genus Cycas ) shells).
