  • Crest:
  1. That for the regiments and separate battalions of the Army Reserve: On a wreath of the colors, Argent and Vert, the Lexington Minute Man Proper.
  2. The statue of the Minute Man, Captain John Parker (H.H. Kitson, sculptor) stands on the common in Lexington, Massachusetts.
  • Motto: AnLI yamohmikma KAMASSA (Choctaw Indian language) (Sincerity and Strength).

Symbolism

  • Shield: The magnolia, the state tree of Mississippi, is representative of the state where the unit was originally headquartered.
  • Motto:
  1. The motto is in the Choctaw Indian language.
  2. It translates to mean " Sincerity and Strength."

Background

  1. The coat of arms was originally approved for the 348th Infantry Regiment on 1925-01-26.
  2. It was rescinded on 1959-02-02. The insignia was reinstated and redesignated for the 348th Regiment (Training) effective 1993-10-01.
