A tag has been placed on Paris Saint-Germain season 2009–10 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. September 2009

Your recent addition to Olympique_Marseille_and_Paris_Saint-Germain_football_rivalry has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Please do not use copyrighted information such as you did in this article. It has been removed. Frmatt (talk) 02:32, 20 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:Paris Saint-Germain season 2009–10, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

This page is both a content fork of Paris Saint-Germain season 2009–10 and a useless category with only one article. The Paris Saint-Germain season 2009–10 article belongs in Category:Football (soccer) clubs 2009-10 season, of which this useless category page is a sub-category.

You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on [[Talk:Category:Paris Saint-Germain season 2009–10|the article's talk page]] explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. JohnnyPolo24 (talk) 13:15, 21 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did to Olympique Marseille and Paris Saint-Germain football rivalry. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalized, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. B.s.n. R.N.contribs 15:50, 21 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 72 hours for creating copyright violations.. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. – Toon 00:07, 24 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Despite having been previously warned, you created Le Classique with the same copyrighted content, and then History of Paris Saint-Germain with content copied verbatim from PSG's official website. Wikipedia cannot accept content taken from elsewhere without permission, whether there is a copyright notice on the external source or not. You can use websites as sources of ideas but not sentences. Hosting content in violation of copyright is against Wikipedia policy and could cause legal problems. Repeat offenders will be blocked indefinitely, so please be careful with what you use - if you have any doubts I would be happy to take a look. You are free to leave any questions on my talk page once your block expires. – Toon 00:12, 24 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

PSG

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Please don't forget to provide an edit summary, as you forgot on your recent edit to Paris Saint-Germain F.C.. Thank you. Dancarney (talk) 09:00, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding the excess detail on the kits in the infobox for the PSG article, here's what Template:Football kit has to say about it:

The template is for showing basic team colours. It is not supposed to be an accurate drawing of the kit.

Additionally, the Nike swoosh seem keen on retain is potentially a copyright infringement, something Wikipedia strives to avoid. Dancarney (talk) 09:06, 8 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Once again you have been adding content to Wikipedia articles in violation of copyright. I deleted the same large section of text from Le Classique, copy-pasted from [1]. Do not repeat this, or you will be blocked again, for a lengthier period of time. I began working on a new History of Paris Saint-Germain article at User:Toon05/History of Paris Saint-Germain F.C., but I don't have time at the moment to keep working on it. You are welcome to add to or edit the article with a view to moving it into mainspace when it is of substantial length. I incorporated some content from the History section of the main PSG article (which is permitted, with attribution). – Toon 16:45, 27 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The article Paris Saint-Germain F.C. Reserves & Academy season 2009–10‎ has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable subject

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. PSG season article

Greetings,

Before you go reverting my edits, I would like to explain them further than just the edit summary I left.

  1. Concerning the infobox. About a year ago, it was determined that a made-up infobox was not appropriate for season article. There is an infobox already and for the sake of consistency, use it. The focal point of that determination was this article. The discussion got pretty intense and spilled over into other area pages that I can't find at this moment.
  2. Again about a year ago (or earlier this year), it was determined that unnecessary colors in tables for this type of article are just that: unnecessary. The focal article for that was this one. It's a bit of an eyesore and adds nothing to the article.
  3. Section headers... Per the MOS, it should be "Squad information", not "Squad Information" (not the capitalization).
  4. Per MOS:FLAG, flags should not be used to indicate nationality without good reason and not in an infobox. There is no reason for non-players to have an flagicon (luckily, there is a good reason for players).
  5. I sorted the name of the players in the squad information section and corrected their age. Their age had been for the end of the season, which is fine if the season had ended. Lugano, for example, is 30, not 31 as the table had said before. Additionally, the checks were removed from the transfers section because at this point they are all done (for the summer window at least).

That about explains it. If you have a question, leave a message. Thanks. Digirami (talk) 16:30, 21 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Replaceable fair use File:George Weah Ballon d'Or 1995.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:George Weah Ballon d'Or 1995.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 21:11, 22 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to Maxwell (footballer), without good reason. They need to have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at History of Paris Saint-Germain F.C.. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted or removed.

  • If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor then please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
  • If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive, until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively could result in loss of editing privileges. We refer to individuals by their WP:COMMONNAME, please take this on board. Stop icon

Your recent editing history at 2015–16 Paris Saint-Germain F.C. season shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. I started reverting your edits because I saw the massive amounts of information you were removing from the article. As long as you stop removing yellow/red cards, stop changing the links for the reports — i.e. uefa.com reports for the UEFA Champions League — and also stop removing links such as those pertaining to round number ("2015–16 UEFA Champions League group stage#Paris Saint-Germain v Real Madrid|3" being an example) we don't have a problem. Paris Saint-Germain Judo moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Paris Saint-Germain Judo, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. This large article triggered multiple hits at Copypatrol. I haven't assessed which sections are violations, but there are far too many to manually exercise each violation. I've nominated it for deletion which may or may not occur. In my opinion, you ought to start over from scratch. S Philbrick(Talk) 12:51, 16 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Paris Saint-Germain F.C. supporters does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. Non-free rationale for File:YoungPSGSupporters.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:YoungPSGSupporters.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 25 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:YoungPSGSupporters.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:YoungPSGSupporters.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

PSG - players under contract

Hi, think we don't have to list every player with a pro contract under the 'players under contract' section of PSG. I made that section for 3 loanees who returned to club (Areola, Hemaans, Jese) and 7 other players who aren't eligible to play for U19 team anymore (Saidani, Makutungu, Kapo, Fadiga Oufella, Touati, Fressange). Most of the players currently added in that section are eligible to play for U19 team this season. Think it is better if we add them in squad for U19 team. As I said earlier, cases of those 7 players are different. They can't play for U19 team anymore, and aren't considered for senior team either. However they are still under contract of PSG. That is why I think we should add only them in that section. Hoping to hear from you :) Kokoeist (talk) 19:29, 9 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of Paris Saint-Germain F.C. records and statistics, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Pierre Alonzo. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Thank you

Hello DroopyDoggy. I am profoundly greatful for all the work you have done in regards to Paris Saint-Germain on the English Wikipedia. Your work is splendid, so that is why I must say, thank you. I make quite a lot of player biographies of former PSG players myself, and your work complements that with the PSG season (and other) articles.
If I may ask, where are you from? And why are you so interested in PSG?
Kind wishes, Paul Vaurie (talk) 22:36, 9 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Paul! Thanks for your work too. I'm from Venezuela. I love football and Paris, so I immediately started following the club as soon as I learned about its existence when I was around 13. I've been a PSG fan since 2005–06 (my first shirt, the home kit, was from that season) but only started to watch a few matches from the 2008–09 season onwards cause they were nowhere to be found back then. I started doing these articles in 2009 (I think?) cause there wasn't any actual information in English about the club. I wanted to create a place where everyone, including myself, could go read everything there is to know about PSG. What about yourself? Where are you from and why PSG? Overlinking

Hello DroopyDoggy. Please review MOS:LINK; I've been removing overlinks from Paris Saint-Germain F.C. supporters for the past hour. Usually, a link is only linked once in a single article's prose. Paul Vaurie (talk) 23:58, 20 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Image sizes

Hello. You recently reverted my edit on PSG Esports, where I changed a fixed image size of 350px to upright=1.5. Please note that per MOS:IMGSIZE:

Except with very good reason, a fixed width in pixels (e.g. 17px) should not be specified, because it ignores the user's base width setting. Thus upright=scaling factor is preferred whenever an image is to be displayed at something other than the default width.

The default width of a thumb image is 220px. Using a scaling factor of 1.5 gives us a width of 330px, which is just about what you set the fixed size at. If you would, please revert your edit or respond here if you have any objections. – Pbrks (t • c) 21:15, 25 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

PSG captaincies

Hey, do you mind clarifying this table on List of Paris Saint-Germain F.C. records and statistics#All-time most captaincies? If a player is substituted into a match and becomes captain (or is given the armband mid-game), does that count as a captaincy? Basically this happens when the captain either doesn't start or gets subbed off. Or is it just who starts the game as the captain? Thanks, Paul Vaurie (talk) 15:55, 31 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Paul! It’s just who starts the game as team captain. 2A02:3037:316:FB91:E917:C916:CA94:21C4 (talk) 16:07, 31 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
