My edits on Wikipedia usually amount to tidy-up edits, particularly on pages with scientific content. I am currently a medical student at Stanford University School of Medicine and I have a degree in Forensic Science. Before medical school, I worked for 10 years in computational molecular biology research and linux systems administration. I have studied extensively beyond my degree, particularly in the fields of genetics, biochemistry, and emergency medicine, and I am also a certified EMT. I volunteer with a the Bay Area Mountain Rescue Unit, with Stanford Emergency Medical System as an EMT.

I consider myself to be very rigorous and I will not post anything that I have not researched thoroughly. My philosophy on editing is that everything I write must be supported by reference—a high-quality open access review if possible, or else by primary literature. I tend to cite much more than other editors, but I like it that way, because I want readers to always know where something is coming from.
