Birthplace/Childhood
The sidebar claims an Indiana birthplace, but the first paragraph says Arizona: was he born in one and raised in the other, or what? A tweak would help. Wangoed 15:30, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
There has been three birthplaces given on this page. Cottonwood, AZ, Kirskville, IN and now Grandview, TX but not one of them has had a reliable source to back it up. I've found on CMT.com that his birthplace is Kirksville, IN. I'm putting that as the birthplace until another source is found. 157.201.102.130 (talk) 03:23, 4 July 2011 (UTC)
I don't know who the FOOL was that "corrected" my correction of the birthplace of Junior Brown, but according to HIS OWN website, [1] his birthplace was Cottonwood, AZ. You can bring out a stack of your alleged wikipedia credentials, but I just can't see them beating the man's own website.Daniel Sparkman (talk) 18:23, 28 June 2014 (UTC)
- Just as a matter of policy, self published sources are not the best reliable sources. They are usually acceptable for this type of information unless it is contested. If you wish to use a source as a reference it must be added to the article as a reference. Apparently the location of JB's birth is now somehow contested. However the cited source does say Cottonwood, AZ (and has since at least April 2013). User:Daniel Sparkman's edit (here) placed his user signature into the article. So there was a reason to revert. It is policy to remain WP:CIVIL so calling an editor "FOOL" is not appropriate, especially when there were clear errors made. I suggest changing the place of birth to Cottonwood, AZ as this is what is in the cited source. - - MrBill3 (talk) 09:04, 29 June 2014 (UTC)
