Pisuviricota is a phylum of RNA viruses.[1] Members of the phylum are positive-sense single-stranded RNA viruses or double-stranded RNA viruses, which do not infect prokaryotes and are not members of the phylum Kitrinoviricota or Duplornaviricota. The name of the group is a portmanteau of “picornavirus supergroup” and the suffix -viricota for phylum taxa.[2]
