[edit]

"Birmingham screwdriver" is a slang term for a hammer. It is presumably intended to be an insult to people from Birmingham. Biscuittin (talk) 17:23, 30 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

See Screwdriver#Handle for a reference. Biscuittin (talk) 17:26, 30 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

should not be a simple redirect

[edit]

Whilst the term is a slang reference to the hammer, to simply redirect this to the page for a hammer is not altogether helpful. Reference to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law_of_the_instrument would be far more enlightening.Adagio67 (talk) 06:50, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
