On Tuesday, January 8, 2019, IBM introduced to the world the first-ever commercial quantum computer, the IBM Q System One.

This integrated quantum computing system is housed in a 9'x9'x9' air-tight glass cube that maintains the exact correct temperature. The system has been tested for its first time in the summer of 2018 for two weeks in Milan, Italy.

Since the introduction of the IBM Q System One, IBM stock in NYSE jumped more than 2 points from the closing time on Monday to 10 AM Tuesday morning, and has been steadily rising. IBM stock was closed at 121.74 USD on ‎Thursday, Jan 10, 2019.
