Twilight was a sternwheeler towboat, built in 1864 at Middletown, Pennsylvania, as the Traveler, renamed Twilight (1882-1927), and renamed again as J. H. McCrady in May 1927.^[1] She was nicknamed "The Cat with Nine Lives," because she was involved in so many accidents.^[2]

Incidents

Running into the I. C. Woodward, and sinking it^[3]
Hitting the 16th Street Bridge. It was a wooden span, which caught fire.^[3]
Going over the dam at Lock 2 in 1905^[3]
