Kept Man is a 2014 psychological thriller short film directed by Brett Annese and written by Wilson Cleveland, who also stars[1] as a man who fears his new boyfriend - played by Hartley Sawyer is losing his grip on reality. The film was released on YouTube on Halloween - October 31, 2014 [2] and received a Webby Award honor for Best Drama, Individual Short or Episode in 2015. [3]

Reception

The film received a 2015 Webby Award honor for Best Drama, Individual Short or Episode and generally positive reviews from film critics. In his December 9, 2014 IndieWire review, Joseph Ehrman-Dupre called Kept Man "a moody, mysterious, and shocking film" and[4] NewMediaRockstars' Evan DeSimone wrote "There is an incredible tension that arises when you can’t trust your partner, and when that partner can’t trust themselves. Kept Man does an excellent job of mining that tension and transmuting into a more subtle fear that builds through each scene." [5] User ratings were less favorable. As of May 23, 2018, the aggregate user rating on the film's IMDB page is 5.4 out of 10. [6]
