Hi, my name is Tommy Doyle and I'm from Massachusetts. I'm 40 years old, and I work as a librarian. I hold a B.A. in English lit from UMass, though I've never used it for career purposes. I love books, so being a librarian is perfect for me. My nickname here comes from a favorite novel of mine by the great German writer Theodor Fontane. My chief interest is English, French, American, Russian, and German literature, from the late 18th century/early 19th century, the Victorian period, to roughly the 1930s. Some of my other interests are classical music (especially operatic sopranos like Emma Kirkby and Anna Netrebko), painting (impressionism and earlier), and women of just about any profession (except porn, which I hate). I don't care about politics, race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual preference, or religion. My basic life philosophy is live and let live.

I intend to concentrate primarily on category sorting, copy editing, and other minor tasks here on Wikipedia. Thanks for reading, and have a great day. Feel free to ask me questions or give me advice.
