Nekso is a mobile E-hailing application available in Central and South America. The app allows users to book a taxi and track it in real time. The taxi user can utilize technology to find taxi service in the vicinity, schedule for trip and make transaction.[1] The app is available on iOS and Android.[2]

Currently Nekso is operating in numerous countries in South America such as Ecuador[3], Venezuela[2], Dominican Republic, as well as Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Panama, South America, Peru, Argentina and Chile.[4]

There are several similar apps that provide E-hailing services such as Easy Taxi, UnTaxi, Auto Amigo. Unlike Uber that competes with licensed taxi companies around the world, these services partnered directly with taxi firms. The Nekso service does not charge the passenger, however, it takes a certain percentage of each taxi fares.[5]

Currently, Nekso has offices in Canada, Venezuela.[1] The application can be downloaded for on devices running Android and iOS, and the user should register a profile with their complete data, pictures and the payment cards with which they could schedule or cancel the service.[6]

Nekso provides mobile application that serves as a network between users and taxi lines.[2] The panic button that can be accessed by the user and the driver to have his/her location shared if he/she is in danger.[7] At the end of the service the application gives you the option to qualify the driver.[7]
