KWFS (branded as News Talk 1290) is a radio station serving the Wichita Falls area with a news/talk radio format. It broadcasts on AM frequency 1290 kHz and is under ownership of Townsquare Media.
Programming on News Talk 1290 includes Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Robert Pratt, Mike Hendren, Herman Cain, Coast to Coast AM and more.
Local programming includes "Wake Up Call", hosted by Mike Hendren, which airs weekdays from 6am-8am central. Hendren, who also serves as the stations Brand Manager (Program Director), has been with KWFS-AM since July of 2001.
KWFS-AM 1290 is the oldest, continuously broadcasting radio station in the city, having been on-air since 1949.
