Really? Evidence, or unsubstantiated claim? I'd never heard of Barber until I saw the film. Now I've read about her here there seems little reason to encounter her again. The film is memorable for the story it tells of her series of abusive relationships. Ms. Barber is memorable for her self-publicising of those relationships: a sort of journalist version of Big Brother-style 'reality' TV, it seems. Perhaps that's what Ms. Barber is best known for: author and star of such entertainment. A little information about the sort of background that led to such a life would not be out of place.
