Article Feedback deployment

Hey Travis67; I'm dropping you this note because you've used the article feedback tool in the last month or so. On Thursday and Friday the tool will be down for a major deployment; it should be up by Saturday, failing anything going wrong, and by Monday if something does :). Thanks, Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 23:57, 13 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

US 131/SR 13 concurrency

This is an unusual situation to be sure, but it's not unique. U.S. Route 223 has an unsigned, "useless" concurrency with US 127 near Somerset, Michigan. In that case, the AASHTO log clearly indicates that US 223 continues northward along US 127 to terminate at the intersection with US 12. In this case, the INDOT log clearly indicates that SR 13 extends north to the state line, at least on paper. We have an obligation to follow what the sources say, and in this case, the source says that officially SR 13 has this concurrency, even if the signage, like the US 223 example, may indicate otherwise. I know about US 127 and US 223 I have pasted through that area hundreds of times going to the D and other places in Michigan. Indiana does not have unsigned routes the State Roads (and US Routes) around Indianapolis (and other Metro areas) end and begin again like Indiana State Road 1. Indiana 13 ends at the Indiana Toll Road I seen the End sign many times (google street view from 2008 shows it) and seen the articles at the first of this week. I was looking for more information about the roadwork around Constantine, Michigan, it is not to far along but some work was done. Anyways I emailed INDOT May 8th and the person responded on May 9th (at the end of the day), the person said it is US 131 north of the Toll Road. But the person said to email another person that would know more about the area. Which I did but since most of INDOT does not work on Fridays I will not hear from them until Monday. The US 131 intersection with M-60 has a to M-86, street view is to old, I wish I had took the camera so I could have a picture but I was just going to Three Rivers for a few hours, mostly to get the deposit from some 250 cans (10 24packs + some from before) I paid the deposit on. I don't live that far from Three River and it is easier to go there some times, I don't know when I will be in Three Rivers again.Travis (talk) 02:58, 11 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
As for the "to M-86" on US 131 here is a link to a picture I found online. PS I know the website itself can be used because of SPS (and they call it U.S. Federal Route 131), but I'm just showing that "to M-86" is signed at that intersection.Travis (talk) 13:16, 11 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It's not a big deal, and really not worth changing the article over though. Imzadi 1979  13:43, 11 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I did get two more emails, for a total of three, from different people at INDOT saying that Indiana 13 ends at the Indiana Toll Road and that the change was made after the 2004 Reference Post Book. On the every first page of the Reference post book it basically says this is out date and should not be used as a reference. The emails also say that the Reference Post Book was replace by the Indiana GIO. I can forward both emails to anybody that wants/needs them.Travis (talk) 17:25, 16 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Personal correspondence isn't verifiable though. If you are going to make this change, you must use a source that can be verified to back it, and you should not just wholesale revert other useful edits in the process. Your reversion restored bad grammar, implied in the junction list that US 131 is concurrent with the toll road and restored several other formatting or grammatical errors that had been previously fixed. Please be more cautious in the future, ok? If you can update the source to this GIO, then update the current version of the article that contains many other formatting fixes. If you want to own the articles then fine, but US 131 is an FA and is WRONG.Travis (talk) 19:39, 16 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
