C. V. Shanmugam is an Indian politician and incumbent member of the Tamil Nadu legislative assembly from Villupuram constituency. He is currently the Minister for Commercial Taxes and Registration and Law, Courts and Prisons of the Government of Tamil Nadu. As a cadre of Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, he was previously elected to the Tindivanam constituency in 2001 and 2006 elections[1][2][3][4].
